Cheetah

Leopard
Leopard's claws retract fully. Cheetah's claws can retract a little bit but not fully. Cheetah's claws stay out so they don't slip while they are running. Leopards use their claws for climbing and grabbing.

Hunting and Food
by Samuel and Cooper
Cheetahs hunt during the day. They hide and then they jump out with a burst of speed to catch their prey. Cheetahs eat gazelles and rabbits.
Leopards hunt during the night. They use their strength to catch their prey. They sneak up on them and pounce. They might carry their prey up into a tree. They eat impalas, antelopes, and wild pigs.

Can you tell which one is a cheetah and which one is a leopard?

Cheetahs and leopards both have spots and their fur is tan. But, there is a difference. Cheetahs have round, black spots. Leopards have mostly rose-shaped spots with a tan middle and black outside. Some of them are all black.
