Hello guys, something stuck in my mind and I wanted to ask you. You know, 8 March is celebrated as International Women's Day. So in which novels from World Literature is the main character a woman?

The female heroes, who came to life through the writing of the important writers of the literary world, have been a source of inspiration for other women. Famous writers of the history of literature have created fiction whose main character is female, created unforgettable stories, and gave life to women who are read passionately. Most of these have been translated into dozens of languages and have been read by millions of people.

As the project team of Stay at Home Read a Book Watch a Movie, we watched many films based on the novels, named after the unforgettable female characters.

Yes, you're right, Buse...

For example, Anna Karenina - Lev Nikolayeviç Tolstoy's famous work is considered a masterpiece with a striking narrative of love and betrayal to the spiritual fluctuations of 19th century Russian society. Anna Karenina, admired for her beauty and kindness, has an unhappy and monotonous marriage. Her meeting with the handsome and young count Vronsky in Moscow marks a turning point in Anna's life. Tolstoy's Anna Karenina is considered by the authorities to be one of the greatest novels ever.

Jane Eyre is considered by many to be one of the first novels to claim women's rights and freedoms. The novel, which also carries traces from the life of its author Charlotte Brontë, is the story of a lonely young girl who lives a hard life transforming into a strong woman. Jane Eyre, an orphan at a young age, has a difficult life with her aunt, who never loved her but took care of her husband's will. When she is sent to a strict boarding school, she has to face other challenges, this time. After ten years at school, she graduates as a teacher. She gets a job as a governess at the estate of "Edward Rochester". He falls in love with Rochester, the mysterious master of the house; But difficulties and pain await him that he cannot even imagine.

Our cute, sweet, brave, and powerful Wren.

There is one more important novel: The character of Gustave Flaubert's Madame Bovary… One of the classics… The famous work of world literature translated into dozens of languages… A woman's story… Madame Bovary deals with the life and inner world of a 19th century French woman. They have big dreams and big expectations from life; He lives with the longing for the passion and romantic fantasies of the novels he reads and does not avoid any sacrifices on the way he sets out to find the ideal love he seeks.

The author of Harry Potter, J.K. Not without mentioning Rowling's free-lance, very knowledgeable and brave young daughter Hermione. Seeing how Hermione, who came into our lives with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and one of the most popular characters of the series, challenged men on her own is enough to make her one of the unforgettable characters of world literature.

As you tell, new heroes come to my mind.
