There was once a Witch who was evil and mean and would only come out on Halloween. She frightened all of the villagers all the cats pretended the Witch wasn't there. She lived in a haunted mansion on a hill, with her rat Bill. Most of the villagers have left the village because of the Witch and she will forever haunt the hills.
"Lucy! Lucy! LUCY!" The girl yelled. "What? I'm trying to sleep, Mathilda." Lucy said. "Hold sleep off for a second." "Ok, I'll hold it off for a sec. What did you wake me up for though, it's like midnight or something." "Well, you'll never guess what tomorrow is!" Mathilda said as she got up and started jumping on her bed. "What's tomorrow? It's just another boring chore day again." Said Lucy trying not to fall asleep. " Oh no no no! It's not just another chore day. It's Halloween!" "Yay boring chore day Halloween. Soooo exciting." "Oh come on Lucy! Get into the spirit! One sleep away to candy and costumes!" Mathilda said smiling. "Seriously Lucy, it's going SO fun! Lucy? Lucy? Lucy WAKE UP!" Mathilda took the blanket off the bed. Lucy was gone. Mathilda ran to the open-
window and yelled "LUCY!!!!!" there was no sign of Lucy not even a footstep. Mathilda ran to her mom and dad's bedroom. "MOM! DAD! MOM, mom?! Dad?! DAD! No, no no no no! It's Halloween!!" She started crying, and remembered the story of the Witch. Mathilda ran to the rotary phone and dialed 911. "Hello? This is 911, what is your emergency?" Said a woman from the other side of the phone. "Oh. Uh, my sister, my mom, and my dad disappeared. And, um its Halloween! When the Witch comes and steals people, and takes them to her haunted house on Bonn Hill." Mathilda explained. "Um. Excuse me, Miss? Are you ok? The Witch that "haunts the hills" is just a myth. I'm terribly sorry but, we're not Witch hunters were life savers. Ok? Enjoy your Halloween."
The woman said as she canceled the call. Mathilda felt heartbroken. All because nobody could help her, and nobody believed her. There was no point in calling the police, because they would say the same too. Then Mathilda felt a sudden braveness hit her. She got dressed, got a flashlight, knife, water, and chains. Mathilda ran to the front door and put on her boots, and a coat a second later she was off to Bonn Hill. Bonn Hill was cold, damp and dark. Mathilda shivered and kicked the haunted house's door open. She felt the need to turn back and go home, but Mathilda couldn't leave her family alone with the Witch. "HEEEELP!!" Cried a voice. Mathilda ran as fast as she could up the old wooden staircase.
