     CONTRIBUTORS

It is a sunny spring morning in Berlin. Children are at the school garden. There are students from all around the world because it is an international school.

 They are at the GameTube social club at their school. There are children from Italy, Spain, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine in the club. They are very excited because ten days later it is 23rd April and they are invited to Turkey for 23rd April Children's Day celebrations. They are getting prepared for the celebrations and the game tournaments but before training they want to play together. They are playing "Hide and Seek" altogether.Olmo from Italy, Carlos from Spain Defne from Turkey is hiding and Misha from Ukraine is counting. They are having great fun together. They know that “Hide and Seek” is one of the best traditional games and all the children around the World like to play it so much.

After school, some of the studentsfrom the same social club “GameTube” are at the  cafeteria near the school and they are spending time on the internet.

Gabriel,  the Spanish girl with glasses suddenly starts to laugh.

Clara the Romanian girl asks: “Why are you laughing, Gabriel ?”

Gabriel says: “Well, we meet but we don’t even talk to each other and we forget to drink the tea in our glasses.”

And when they realize this weird fact, they laugh altogether

Diego the Spanish boy with glasses  says his friends:

“I don’t see Jose at school nowadays. Why doesn’t he come to school?”

Yoris: “I don’t know. Maybe he is ill. Why don’t we go and visit him ?”

They all agreed Yoris and go to Jose’s house together.

They arrive Jose’s house and ring the bell. Jose’s mum Mrs. Palma  opens the door. She looks so upset and tired.  

Clara: Good afternoon Mrs. Palma. Jose doesn’t come to school nowadays. Is he ill?

Mrs Palma answers sorrowfully:

No dear, he is not ill . He skips school because he plays computer games all day and  doesn’t sleep  all night. . He is not interested in anything but digital games.

His friends are very sorry for Jose and they ask Mrs Palma if they can come in and see Jose. Maybe they talk to him and convince him about coming to school.

Mrs Palma says : Of course you can, please come in children.

They come in and say hi to Jose but he doesn’t recognize them at first they call his name again and when he see them he is astonished.

Gabriel says: Why don’t you come to school Jose, we wonder about you?

Clara says her friends to change the subject :  Guys we are going to Turkey for 23rd April and we are going to attend Chess Tournament there. I am very excited. Do you think one of us from our club can be the winner?

Diego says jokily: Are you serious Clara? It’s sure that I’ll be the winner”

Gökhan replies: No Diego, you are wrong ! I will be the winner.

Gabriel says: Jose is my favourite. I bet he will be the winner. He is better than all of you.

Yoris says : I agree with Gabriel, Jose. I think you should come to school and practise with us for the chess tournament instead of wasting your time on the computer playing games.

Jose is ashamed but happy too.

He says: OK, friends, I’ll come to school tomorrow.

Mrs Palma says: Thank you so much dear children. You come and stand by your friend.

Children are very happy for Jose

As Jose promised to his friends,he came back to school the next day.All of his friends became very happy to see him again. 

Gökhan says to Jose :"Hi! Why don't we play chess after shool?"

Jose answers :"That's a good idea!" and adds "Let's meet in the cafeteria at 4 o'clock,then!"

Gökhan admits it.

And Gabriel says "I will definitely be there to watch your play,I'm sure Jose will bet you,Gökhan. "

Then,they say goodbye to each other and go to their classrooms.

When the lessons are over,Defne comes across with Diego,Misha and Clara.She says to them "Tomorrow is Saturday,what about watching an animation comedy in my house at 2 o'clock?" They all admit the invitation.

The Saturday comes;Diego,Misha and Clara go to Defne's house.Defne is pleased to see them.They watch the animation together.After the movie has finished,they play blind man's buff and they have fun together.They thank to Defne and leave.On the way Misha asks the time,and she remembers that she has promised his brother,Ivan,to play chess.

Misha arrives home at last,and finds Ivan waiting her in the livingroom.

Misha says:"Sorry,I'm late" and asks :"Are you ready for the game?"

Ivan answers:"Yes,I'm looking forward to it."They start to play chess and Ivan beats Misha. Misha congrats Ivan. After that,they have dinner with their family and go to their bedrooms.

Misha feels very tired.She lays on her bed and thinks her last few days.She becomes excited because there is only a week to chess tournament in Turkey.Then she falls asleep.In her dream,she finds herself in a strange digital game;she is in a cage and the guardians don't let her go to the 23rd April Children day's celebrations.How can she escape?Suddenly she wakes up and realizes that it was just a bad dream.

‘Let’s play Four in a Row’ says Defne and Diego says that it is a good idea.

It’s summer time, the sun is shining and the two kids are playing in the garden. They enjoy playing this game very much. Diego’s mum brings them a snack: a delicious home made ice cream. Birds are singing and Barry the little cat is chasing a colourful butterfly. 

Clara is very sad because her little brother is having a nap and she doesn’ t know who to play with.

All the toys in her nice bedroom seem not to be enough. She is normally a very good girl but today she is annoyed. Even her favourite doll, Palmina, who stands behind her can’t make her feel happy. Suddenly her mum enters the room and gives her a delicious chocolate cupcake. Clara wipes her tears and eats the tasty snack and in a few moments she is happy again.
