The parts of a plant

THE ROOTS: ABSORBS WATER, NUTRIENTS AND MINERAL FROM SOIL

STEM: Transports water from roots to leaves

LEAVES: Makes food for the plant

FLOWER: Produces seeds

  FRUIT: Contains excess food and seeds

Life cycle of a sunflower

1. The little seed is put in the soil.         2. From the seed the roots ar developing.    3. The stem is growing above the soil.  4. Attached to the stem, little leaves grow.     5. With water, sunlight and nutrients form soil, the leaves are developing and produce food for the plant.      6. The flower blooms. The flower produces seeds, so the circle of growth can begin again.

Put the soil in a flower pot.

Put the seeds in the soil.

Water the plant.

The plant will grow.

                         Takes in water and minerals from soil.

Seeds

     1. The seed is placed in the ground and absorbs water.

    2. The root pushes to the seed coat. Trough the germination proces, the sprout is formed.

    3. The roots are growing and the plant begins to absorb more water and minerals from soil.

    4. The seedling grows out of the ground.

    5. The stem and its leaves grow towards the sunlight.  The leaves are absorbing more sunlight and produce more food for the growing plant.

    6. The adult plant produces flowers and from the flowers new seeds appear.

 3. Gövde toprağın

 üzerinde büyür.

 4. Gövdeye bağlı küçük 

yapraklar büyür. 

5. Toprağı oluşturan su, güneş ışığı ve besinler ile yapraklar gelişir ve bitki için besin üretir.

 6. Çiçek açar. Çiçek tohum üretir, böylece büyüme çemberi yeniden başlayabilir.
