Legend of Bran Castle

Our legend takes place in an extraordinary country called Romania, near the town Brasov, in a wonderful village where the Bran Castle is situated.

Bran Castle, which is a very large castle far from the old village, is painted white on the outside and red on its towers. Located in a mountainous area with twenty two rooms, this castle is even more beautiful at night.

Built between the Bucegi Mountains in the east and the Piatra Craiului Mountains in the west, Bran Castle belonged to the Vampire King Marcus and the Vampire Queen Gina. Seen from the outside, it was literally a gloomy gothic monument. Its sixty-meter high walls were really scary, especially if there was fog outside.

The king of the vampire family living in Bran Castle is the Vampire King Marcus. It is brave, strong and fearless. His wife, the vampire Queen Gina, is overprotective. Now, they have only one child - the vampire Prince Bran.

One day, the vampire King Marcus looked around from one of the huge windows of Bran Castle and drank cold animal blood, which had been coagulated for morning coffee, kept in the freezer for two days, and he thought of the first day he saw people as his enemies. Again, today was another day when human blood was desired. Vampires were forbidden to drink human blood, according to the first article of the Vampire-Human Treaty signed many years before.

For this reason, all kinds of cattle, small ruminants, and all kinds of animals whose blood is suitable for drinking were raised in private large farms for them. For vampires, the taste of the blood of these poor animals paled in comparison to the delicious flavor of human blood. Despite the peaceful efforts of the vampires, the villagers were behaving rather cunningly rather instead of living their lives peacefully. The villagers were thinking for days and days and finally, they made a plan. According to the plan, there would be a supposed famine and the peasants would be affected by this famine.

In order to prevent this, it was necessary to sacrifice for their hunger the animals that were raised for the vampires’ benefit. The vampires' part of the village would be burned so that they would both get rid of the vampire family and confiscate their belongings. Thus, the villagers risked everything for the sake of their plan but they had no idea about what they should do after they would burn the vampires' houses.

On that day when we once again wondered how many human feelings we had, Marcus's son, Bran, died. Marcus and his wife, Gina, barely managed to survive after their beloved son’s death. The vampire King Marcus and his wife broke down after the peasants' heavy attack, and they named their castle, which they had built far from the village, Bran.

Two years later, their children Atakan and, then, Lina were born. The villagers had captured all the animals after that heavy attack against, but they feared that one day, the vampire King Marcus and his army of children would burn their houses and come to destroy them. The king and queen educated their children not to be careful and loving with human beings right from the moment they were born. Despite this, both children had secret human friends……"

The villagers' fear weakened a little after the construction of Bran Castle. This castle will protect them from the vampires' kingdom and their feelings of revenge. With this majestic castle, the fear of the villagers was replaced by a sense of curiosity in a short time. Carlos, the village shepherd, was grazing his cattle on the plains beneath this castle. His sister Julia wanted to help Carlos on one of his shepherd days. But on that day, Vampire Princess Lina escaped for a short time from the castle's protector, Knight Caesar. She managed to get out of the castle through the castle's secret narrow passage down to the plain.

The castle, in which she could not understand its grandeur while living in it, was fascinating. On this day of wandering the countryside while happilys stepping on the ground, he met the beautiful Julia, a descendant of human beings. Although Julia was initially afraid of Lina, a vampire family she'd heard rumors about for years, they soon became friends.

She told her brother, Carlos, about their friendship. Carlos was very curious about the castle after Julia told him that little secret. He's looking for ways to get into the castle, but it was very difficult to get into. Meanwhile, when Julia told Carlos that Lina had invited her to the castle, Carlos knew that was the opportunity he had been waiting for. He came up with a plan, and he told it only to his friend Cagan about it. Cagan said the plan was too dangerous. Despite Cagan's advice, Carlos, who did not want to leave his friend alone in this dangerous plan, didn't want to leave them alone and followed them in secret.

On an afternoon when the redness of the sun made a spectacular appearance on the plain, Julia set off. Lina's only and best human friend, Julia, accepted her friend's invitation and went to this mysterious castle. She didn't go alone, she was accompanied by her brother, Carlos. Ever since he found out that her sister was going to the castle, he's made plans to enter the castle and meet the vampire family there. His goal was to eliminate peasant and vampire hostility and to secure a new Human-Vampire agreement.

Of course, Vampire King Marcus, who was patchy and intelligent, predicted that people would surely wonder if at least one of them would try to enter the castle. He's assigned someone to protect the castle and his family. The guard on duty was none other than Caesar the Knight, who had a special power to "catch" the humans. If you're wondering about his power, he had an eye that could hypnotize people and make them do what he wanted to.

Lina's going to be able to spend the night with her human friends, so she's going to show her friends around the castle from noon to midnight. She warned Julia and her brother, Carlos, to keep quiet before they started travelling together because her mother, father and brother were still asleep until midnight. But what they didn't realize was that there was a problem that would cause them a lot of trouble. Caesar was watching them and was recording every frame of their tour in the castle into his super memory.

Carlos and Julia, while examining the castle with prying eyes, did not realize that Cagan was stalking them from a distance. The arrival of Cagan was also watched by Caesar, who went to inform Vampire King Marcus that Carlos and Julia had entered the castle. Lina's bringing people to the castle infuriated King Marcos, who was awakened from his sleep. His son's, Bran, experiences have come to his mind again. Marcus was burning with vengeance. He sentenced Carlos to death without a trial. He put him in a dungeon. He had Lina and Julia locked in his room to give him their punishment. Cagan fell in love with Princess Lina from the first moment she met him, trying to save them from the room. While they were planning a rescue together, Princess Lina decided to ask her brother, Prince Atakan, for help. Cagan told Lina that her friend was in the castle dungeon. Atakan decided to help them after he found out about it from his sister.

Atakan, Lina, Julia and Cagan devised a plan to save Carlos in the dungeons of the castle. According to this plan, Çağan, whose presence in the castle is unknown, would move with Lina. Julia, on the other hand, would help Atakan. According to the plan, Atakan would secretly take the key to the dungeon to deceive his father, King Marcus and Knight Caesar. Atakan Caesar would distract his knight. Thus, with the keys that Julia Atakan had secretly taken, she would open the door of the dungeon and save Carlos. Atakan, on the other hand, would keep his father and Caesar busy. While Atakan and Julia were rescuing Carlos together, Çağan and Lina would open the way to the secret passage. Escaping from the dungeon, Carlos managed to escape from this passage to the village with his friends. During this time, Çağan was under the influence of Lina's first glance. It was surprising that he fell in love with one of the vampire families he had feared for years. They looked hand in hand for a long time.

Queen Gina had woken up before midnight because of the voices in the castle. She was trying to understand where the voices were coming from. She found out what happened from Caesar and her husband. He was horrified by the fact that people entered their strongholds and his children became friends with people. King Marcus and Queen Gina wanted to avenge their son Bran. All this time, they could not understand that their children had betrayed them.

Atakan saved Carlos from the dungeon. Julia watched. Hearing the voices and realizing that the key was missing, Caesar had come to the dungeon. While the knight Caesar hypnotized Çağan with his eyes, Atakan turned the lantern in his hand to Caesar. Caesar could not hypnotize Çağan because his eyes were dazzled. His eyes ached from light as he collapsed. When he came to his senses, he started chasing the fleeing group.

Atakan was going to help Lina's friend Carlos and Julia escape from the castle by taking them to the secret passage.

King Marcus sent several guards to catch Carlos and the others. The guards went to the secret passage by order of Caesar. Atakan, Julia and Carlos managed to escape from the secret passage. Lina and Atakan rushed to the top floor to save their friends so that their guards follow them. After a long run

They reached the bastion of the castle, came to the end of the road, there was no place to escape.

Cagan and Princess Lina were trapped in the castle tower with the guards behind them. They both jumped hand in hand from the castle to death. After that moment, nobody heard from them. Are they dead or just in a secret place?

Although they are not known to live, rumor has it that after jumping from there they both died somehow. The event affects the king and queen and they finally make peace by accepting the villagers into their castles. A new Human and Vampire Convention has been signed. Cagan, Julia and the villagers forgive guarding the castle, they tell this love story to everyone.

This event became legendary and was told among the villagers.
