1) Content Aspects:
The novel is written in layman’s language,
simple and clear. It increases curiosity. It
leaves you thinking, “What’s next?” All the
eight chapters are interrelated. It has a
unique and unexpected storyline. It focuses
on focusing on what truly inspires one and
working for it.

2) Presentation Aspects:
The flow is not more logical but it is
haphazard. It connects to the common
man’s life. Familiar vocabulary is used.
This novel is both suitable for rural
and urban readers. However, it is more
appealing to the rural man. This novel
should definitely be read by students
because it will motivate them to strive for what they aspire.

3) Organisational Aspects:
The chapters are not so
systematically arranged. The 7
chapter should have been in place of
the 6. The novel creates a little
confusion. However, once it is read,
the gist can be understood by the
reader.

The English Teacher novel is divided into eight chapters.

Chapter I talks about Krishna, an English teacher in Albert Mission College with a monthly salary of 100 rupees.
Chapter II deals with the story of setting up his house.
Chapter III deals with the story of Krishna and his family’s last day of happiness.
Chapter IV talks about Krishna’s loneliness.

Chapter V discusses how Krishna makes a medium to communicate with his dead wife.
Chapter VI deals with the description of Leela’s school.

Chapter VII discusses about the direct communication with Krishna’s wife.
Chapter VIII concludes the novel with resignation of Krishna.
