As i was walking through the hallway of the dark and shadowed palace lingering around trying to find my necklace my mom gave me when i was younger, i kept hearing sounds as if someone had been here cooking.

                       Chapter 1 

            the necklace search

I heard clanks of one pot against another. I was concerned but kept walking further into the terrifying hallway. 

     My black hair softly graces the warm air in the palace which soon started to make me sweat. The week before i had come here to see the palace

Because me and my mom were looking for a house and I just realized that I lost my necklace. Now that me and my mom got a new house since we moved I just remembered that my necklace fell off trying to get around the palace. The floor boards were creaking

And i was starting to get nervous because I had searched the almost the whole palace, soon I heard a voice calling my name "Zuzie" i heard someone call under their breath. As I kept walking I tried finding who had called me and took my mind off my necklace.

 I keep hearing the voice calling my name like their eager to meet me. Soon to see a white figure in the corner of my eye it made me jump. It was getting late and the clock was ticking i decided to find my necklace and the eager person calling me tomorrow.

When I woke up I heard my mom in the kitchen making my favorite food chicken salad! I ran to the kitchen to start the day off with my favorite meal. A few hours later once my mom went to work and my dad was up in the attic i snuck out to find

My necklace and that weird voice. As I started to lurk around the palace I saw that the lights were on and it felt like there was now air conditioning. I at first thought It was just the power and air started working until I realized I was wrong.

     Chapter 2

The ghost hunt 

 I saw the white figure again it was a bit faint but i saw it was a little girl in overalls and a blue striped shirt underneath. The clash of the outfit was really my sense of style. I heard the voice again i thought maybe it was the girl. When i heard it again

Quickly turned around and saw the girl about to whisper under her breath i reacted "Hey!" i yelled the voice of mine bounced off the walls and created a loud echo that repeated after me the loud voice scared the girl away and disappeared out of thin air. 

When she disappeared i saw something familiar and realized she had my necklace! I ran around the castle trying to find the girl but i had no luck until i found a pair of earing's that looked just like my necklace and i followed the sound of the creaking floorboards in front of me

I was running as fast as my little legs could take me and stopped for a huge inhale then outhale. That's when i saw a bag that looked as if someone had packed for a crime scene. I saw huge guns and knifes i was concerned about the bag but left still staring at the bag.

I started looking for the girl again when i saw her in the darkest room in the castle all i could make out was a black figure that shaped her body. As i walked in i saw the same bag i saw a few minutes earlier but how was it there and it was just in the hallway

Me being concerned i kept looking for the girl i found her standing in another corner and asked "can i have my necklace back please?" She vanished once again but the bag was still there. I searched for anything that would help me catch a ghost. I saw that there was a picture 

Of the girl! It said she had died ten years ago and that she was the unwanted daughter of the queen of this palace. I looked stunned and i just sat there staring at the picture. I felt bad and wanted to cheer her up whether she was a ghost or not.

As soon as i saw her again i said "hey can we talk?" i asked. She slowly walked to me and said " Zuzie?" did she know my name i was confused and talked to her about her childhood she kept asking how i knew all this stuff about her and where i came from.
