In this story, you will go through a typical early childhoods day. This particular story is about a six-year-olds day. From the start through the finish, you will see milestones of both cognitive and language that all six-year-olds are supposed to meet.

Hello, I am Gabriel! Today will be a fun day at school because there are many milestones that I need to master and continue learning. Let's Go!

"Six-year-olds, are able to sit at a desk, follow teacher instructions, and independently do simple in-class assignments. " (SickKids staff. (n.d).)

I am so PROUD of myself I can sit at my desk and work independently. While listening to what my teacher says at the same time.

The first thing I do after getting dropped off at school is hang up my backpack at my desk and sit at my desk and complete my morning work.

After morning work, I have math. I love math because there is a lot of counting involved. My favorite is getting to count objects.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9....10! YAY! I did it; I remembered that ten comes after nine! Yipee!!

Once math time is done, we have Literacy rotations, and one of the rotations is reading. I love reading, especially not that I can read books on my own.

I cannot read hard books yet, but I can read easy books. If you Give a Mouse a cookie is my favorite book.

After my reading rotation is Alphabet rotation, this rotation is fun but can be kind of hard. Writing is not my strong suit, but I try my best, getting better at it.
