Caraline: A Mum of one who never really thought of having another child. Caraline is 33 and retired 2 years ago. She has short, blond hair and freckles on her cheeks. She has hazel eyes and a long sleek body. She is kind, shy, open minded and can be quite selfish whilst still caring about everybody.

Owen: is Ion’s Dad. He is 36 years old but still works at a company called The Dream Life where he helps design hotels. Like his wife Owen is an open minded, kind, caring, loud, involved dad who is always willing to give Ion a hand. Owen has always wanted another child. His dark brown hair and teal-blue eyes always stand out in the crowd as does his rounder features.

Ian: A twelve year old boy who isn't a fan of sport but loves to lead. He has blond hair like his mother and teal- blue eyes like his dad.

A family of three, Caraline, Owen and Ion live in a wonderful house at the end of a cul de sac.

Ocean, Flare  and Forest are triplets who were all born with beautiful olive skin and teal-blue eyes. They are not your ordinary triplets. In fact there is nothing ordinary about them. 

Ocean : Is a girl who was born with navy blue hair and a heart for the ocean and a special connection with all Sea creatures. 

Flare : Is a girl who was born with dark red hair and she has a HOT personality and has a way with heat.

Forest : Is a girl who was born with dark green hair and a love for the trees and always finds herself out in nature.

CHAPTER 1

Big News  

“How was school?”  Owen, the dad of Ion and husband of Caraline, asked.

“Fine,” Ion replied.

“Good, because we have some news to talk about,” Caraline said a bit too quickly. Caraline happily sits on the couch and invites the others to come and sit next to her.

“Well dear, what is the news?” Owen asks.

“Ion, how do you feel about having a sibling?” Caraline asks. 

“Well um I,” said Ion feeling very unsure.

“Good,” announces Caraline.

Ion's face turned from handsome and sweet, to angry and frustrated.

“What she means is…” started Owen.

“YOU DECIDED TO GIVE ME A SIBLING WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!” interrupted Ion.

“It is not like that.” explains Caraline not planning that he was going to say that.

“YEAH AND WHAT IS IT THEN!” yells Ion.

At this point Caraline is nearly crying. She is shocked by her son’s response.

“Ion do not speak to your mother like that!” Owen says angrily.

“I DON'T CARE!” cries Ion.

“Ion Teal Element go to your room now!” yells Owen.

Ion storms off, stomping on the stairs as he runs to his room. 

                                                                     ***

“Ion it is time for school?” said Owen.

“Where is mum?” asks Ion.

“Still sleeping,” replied Owen, “but that doesn't change the fact that it’s time for you to get ready for school.”

Ion opens the door to his room looking as handsome as usual with his father's teal eyes and mother’s blond hair, “I am ready to go” he said. 

Chapter 2 

The Triplets   

“Owen!” calls Caraline from the other room. There was the sound of steps approaching.

“Yes dear,” replies Owen. 

“Have we bought the cot yet? Because we might have permanent visitors coming soon,” announces Caraline, feeling very pleased.

Meanwhile, Owen is trying to count how many weeks it has been. 

“OH right!!” he looks startled. But quickly says, “Calling the hospital to let them know we are on our way now.”

Ring Ring Ring

“ Waaaaaa Waaaaaa Waaaaaa” cries the babies. 

“You didn't tell me we were having twins … ' ' whispers Owen 

``They are not” a doctor said holding a baby girl with green hair. 

“ Congratulations you are now a father to triplets” 

“How is this possible? They can't possibly be triplets !”exclaimed Owen

 “Yes, we have a lot to talk about!" Said the doctor. 

“We are ready when you are” Said Owen sounding impatient. 

CHAPTER 3

                      DNA                      

“Since your children are well different you must fill in this form” Said Miss Doc.  

“OK” Said Owen

 “May I please see it?” asks Caraline 

 “Here you are.” Said Miss Doc.                      

2 seconds passed until Caraline finally Said  “ No problem, I can easily fill in this form.” 

“Good,” another doctor said, sounding like Caraline. 

 “But that is not the only thing I want to address with you,” the professor explained.“ We can see some differences in their DNA,” 

“I’m listening”, Owen whispers.

“Their DNA is…”

“Yes” said Caraline, when he didn’t continue.

“Their DNA is nothing like we have seen before ..." his voice trailed off trying to find

the right words. 

"Their DNA has similarities to the three elements” Mrs Doc finished for him.

"What does that mean?" Caraline Asked. 

"It means that we are seeing unusual results in their blood tests. We think that they have similarities to fire, water and forest, in their DNA .. but more tests will tell." said Mrs Doc sounding just as surprised as they were. 

When the professor saw the expressions on there face he added "But it probably won't effected them that much."

That did not change the responses from both the parents. The stunned look was stuck on his face.

“This can not be” cried Owen.

“But how could this be?” whispered Caraline.

“We don’t know yet,” Mrs Doc said, “but we can assure you they’re yours.”

“Thank you for your help,” said Caraline.

                                                     Chapter 4       

                                                        Names

“Owen, can you please call Ion’s teacher and tell her we are picking him up early?” Caraline asks on the drive home from Fun-A-Dale hospital.

“Way ahead of you honey” Owen replied,  “I have also already ordered the cot for the other two.”

“Good! Now all you need to do is triple everything on the shopping list .”

Seconds pass, Caraline thought Owen had ignored her but then he exclaimed, 

“All done!” and dusted his hands smiling “Now all we have to do is tell Ion” he said replacing his smile with a frown. “DING DONG” “DING DONG” went the door.

“Coming” said Owen “Ion we have big news!”      

Owen walked Ion down to the family room and turns the opposite way from the fire and blocks his ears. Ion looked at the three of them. They all had teal blue eyes [like his dad ] and they all had his olive skin but one had fiery red hair, another had ocean blue

 hair and the last had leafy green hair then he realised.

 “THEY’RE TRIPLETS!” yells Ion.

“Yes. They're triplets'' Caraline answers.

 “But But But” Ion Said unsure about how he feels about all this… 

“It is true” said Owen 

“I have got a name for the red one with a wild curly hair,”  says Caraline, trying to change the subject. 

Ion was too stunned to talk.

“Flare is what I came up with” whispers Caraline. 

“Sounds good” Said Owen. 

“Flare??? As in the flare from a fire? Well her hair is very fiery red.. ” Ion finally said 

“Well dear, the doctors have discovered that the triplets DNA have similarities with the three elements” Owen replied.  

“That sort of explains something,” mumbles Ion, dealing with it better than his parents.

“I have a name for the blue one with hair as smooth as water” says Owen sounding very pleased. 

“What?” Ion Said grumpily. 

“Ocean,” replies Owen.  

“I guess I have a name for the annoying little one with green straight hair ” Ion Said.

“We're listening,” Owen and Caraline said, sounding interested, and very pleased that their son was on board. 

“Forest,” said Ion.

“Sounds good!” Owen exclaimed. 

Caraline just smiled. 

“Now that we have a name for the triplets all we have to do now is set up their room,” says Caraline.

“Yeah and how are we supposed to do that? ” Ion asked

“I have a suggestion to make,” Owen said pleased with himself 

“Yes”they both said. 

“Split the room into thirds?” He suggested.

“Sounds good,”. 

                                                      CHAPTER 5

                                                                  The Vacation

                                                            2 WEEKS LATER                                                                 “Hey . Can I talk to you please? "Asked Ion.

“Ya sure,” said Raya 

They walked down to the main entrance to their school and turned right, down to the computer class and walked behind the sidewall.

Ion leaned towards Raya,  “ Raya you know how school holidays are tomorrow?” he asked.

“Ya why?” She asked.

“Because my mother had triplets .”

“Awesome!”

“Ya well. They’re well….  let's say they’re complicated ” 

“Ion what aren't you telling me?”

“They’re triplets with the three elements DNA”

“Oh ok. What does that even mean?”

"Um forget about that the real news is" His voice trails off  

"Yes" said Raya

“My parents are taking us to a vacation on the other side of Fun-A-Dale”

“So you won't be able to go out together to Kayak Bay?”

Ion nodded

Raya turned around ready to burst into tears.

“Raya it's ok.” Ian tried to comfort her but Raya just leaned on Ion’s shoulder and sobbed.

Ion slowly walked out of the school gates with his head down and feet scraping  the gravel.

“ How was school?”  Owen asked quietly, acknowledging that Ion was not happy unlike his wife .

“Fine,” Ion managed to say with a quiver in his voice.

 “Good because we have some news to talk about,” Caraline Said a bit too quickly, “We have decided to take an earlier flight,” she announced excitedly .

“WHAT?” Said Ion not believing his ears. He thought this day just couldn't get any worse for him.

“Soooo, we are leaving today,” Expanded Caraline.  

“ Ok.” He knew there was no point in arguing, “Where are the triplets?” he asked.

“We are just about to pick them up now” Owen said for Caraline , who was already sick of explaining things

“Have you pa-”

“Yes we have everybody’s thing packed” interrupted  Caraline sounding more impatient with him by the minute.

“Ok.  Off  to??? ” Questioned Ion needing to know where they were going. 

“Glacier Palace ” Owen and Caraline said together

“Yes!” he said instantly excited by the idea of time in the wonderful holiday destination ahead. 

                                                                        ***

With that the Element family was off to Fun-A-Dale Airport to go to the other side of the country to have their first family vacation as a family of 6, at one of the most popular hotels Glacier Palace.

                       NOONE had any idea that this was all a big mistake!!

Chapter 6 

Glacier Palace

“Ok now that we are all on the plane,  I will explain to you all about Glacier Palace, it is a hotel that has 5 floors. The 5 th floor has a big look out than looks upon a beach. The walls are waist high and it is glass. There is a fire in the center of the lookout to keep everyone warm as it is built on a snowy mountain. On the third and fourth floor - there are only rooms so that is off limits. The second floor is where there is a really nice restaurant and the first floor is the pool and the reception to the Palace. Does anybody have any questions? ”asked Owen   

“No bush” asked Forest 

“Ah... No Bush” said Caraline Very surprised that one of her triplets just talked

Forest looked at her feet.

1 DAY LATER 

“WE’RE HERE” the pilot announced over the airplane system. 

“Start putting your coats on please” instructed Caraline.

As soon as the Element family walked into the palace there was chaos everywhere, food trays were tipped over, the fire at the lookout had gone wild and now everybody at the pool was running around in the restaurant half naked !

But over all the chaos they realised that the triplets crawled away . They skipped checking in and being seen to their room. They skipped the tour. They even skipped the beach spectacular looking for the triplets .

But eventually they found Ocean. She was sitting down in the pool playing with the water making small fish made out of bubbles swim in the water 

“Ocean, what are you doing?” asked Caraline calmly 

“Playingwitwater” explained Ocean

Caraline looked at Owen then smiled at her kid “How about we go and find  Flare and Forest ok?” she asked 

“Ok” said Ocean before Owen picked his daughter up. 

“Over there” called Ocean pointing to a double door that had a sign on it that read in big bold letters.

NO GUESTS

They slipped past the doors with the help of Ocean breaking the code with some water that was still on her skirt from the pool. Ocean made them go around multiple corners and what felt like a maze of twists and turns until they reached another door this time with a sign saying :

 BALL ROOM 

“So you say go through those doors and then we will find Forest” asked Owen

" Yis” Replied Ocean

When they walked into the room they did not see a ballroom they saw a BALLGARDEN 

“Forest where are you?” called Caraline while admiring the small vines that had made there way over the dome like roof and the patches of green growing on 

the timber polished floor.

They walked down to the tree in the center of the garden and there was Forest

“Nowtherisgarden” Announced Forest very pleased with her garden that she made

“Yes there is "said Caraline 

“Now let’s shower and go to bed” Says Owen looking at his once clean suit. 

“Not without Flair” Yells the girls

“Iamiighthere” said  Flair who had grabbed onto the bag that Owen was carrying 

“Oh then i guess we can!” Said Owen.

                                                                      ***

So the Element family stayed at Glacier Palace for six months. 

The triplets are now six months and two weeks old with some amazing powers!  

                                                        Chapter 7

                                                                   Disasters  

The Element family all jumped off the plane and drove the car to their house on Rose St.

They sat in the living area of their house while Caraline made them some lunch. 

“Well guys I know that we just got back from a holiday but we forgot to make the triplets their room”

“Oh yeah’ said Ian

“I think the plan was that we split the room into thirds right?” asked Owen.

“Yep so” said Ian not knowing how to finish his sentence

“So we do it now” said Caraline for him. 

As they all reached for a child when suddenly Flair said " flowfirefloweverywhere” 

Then Caraline froze and said “I smell smoke”

Owen popped his head up and said “look!” They all turned around  to find a huge fire tornado swirling and twirling around in the fire pit .The fire got bigger and stronger then it started to escape the fire pit twirling and swirling threw the living room getting thicker by the minute. Until it got so thick it touched the walls.

 As  soon as the house caught fire Ian, Caraline and Owen knew it was not safe. Coughing and wheezing while trying to escape until only a miracle could save them.

 At that moment Ocean started to twirl her hands above her head making a strange humming noise. Then when all hope was lost a huge rain drop landed on the house and extinguished the fire, but from the pressure of the  raindrop the house weekend and collapsed . Forest managed to create a green force field around them and save their lives. Then she started to twirl her hands around her head turning where the house used to be into a huge swirling green blob and…. SNAP the house was a natural phenomenon . .

                                                                      ***

Everybody stared in horror at the three girls thankful everybody was at school and work on a Wednesday  during the day.

 CHAPTER 8

 The Doctor

“Oh I think the children are amazing why do we have to take them to the hospital to see a special doctor?” Caraline asked 

“Because I ... WEEE can't afford for them to act like this. They have to learn to control their powers and this is the only doctor that I know that deals with these problems” replied Owen.

“I wouldn't call them problems just issues” Caraline addresses her husband in a cranky tone.

 “Mum dad ”Ian said before Owen could respond 

“Yes. ”they both said at the same time. 

“I can't come with you. I promised Raya I would help her… um help her with her project” Said Ian feeling guilty because he was actually having a secret date with her.

“Ok” they said unsure

“Would you like... ” 

“No I can walk”

“And Ian is off and so are we ”Owen said

“Hello how can I help you?” the lady at the counter asked 

“We would like to see Doc. Dilea” replied Owen 

“Here is your number she will call you in a minute” the lady at the counter said .

They walked down to the seats pushing the triplets in a pram that had stickers of fire water and trees decorating it.

Owen read the note then showed Caraline .

Five minutes passed and Owen was getting

impatient then Doc. Dilea popped her head

out of the second door and called "number 

24 please"

Owen and Caraline walked quickly into the doctor's office, sat down on a chair and plopped the kids on the bed .

Owen talked quickly addressing every little detail he could think of :

1 . Gave birth 1 week early

2 . Starting talking at 2 weeks old

3. Wanting to eat solid foods already.
