Story about Olympic Flame

Once upon a time, there was a tiny flame burning in an old wooden cottage. It watched the life of a loving family. It noticed that one of the children enjoys running very much. The boy was fit and agile. The flame wanted to be like him.

One night, the flame saw the boy and decided to ask: 

« Please take me with you. You are fast, you are strong. You can see so much. I can't see all that. I've been stuck here forever. I want to see the world with you ».

The boy was surprised but decided to take the flame with him. On their way they passed some people playing together with a black and white ball. The flame wanted to stop and watch them…

After observing the game, the flame and the young boy asked the children: “ What is this sport?

The children replied, "It's football, it consists of kicking this ball to score goals. The boy asked if they could play with them. The children answered with a laugh: “Your flame has neither arms nor legs, She cannot play. The flame was very disappointed, she wanted to learn to play football.

Then the children  said, "Do you know any famous football players?" If you want to see some, go to the stadium next door, there is the Polish championship today. »The boy went with the flame to the stadium where they met a great football champion, Robert Lewandowski and his team. The flame was so happy to meet them, she asked them to teach her how to play football.

 Then the Poles made her taste typical dishes of the country: goulash and makowiecs....It was delicious !

 After that, the young boy returned home and the flame continued its journey with Lewandowski and the football team who took her to Germany.

The flame was very happy, because she had never been to Germany.

While she was getting on the plane she was kidnapped by a flock of gigant birds, which took her to a small, desert island.

The flame was screaming for help, but no one heard. She lost her hope and her light began to go out.

It was a Chinese gong! Really Strange! They approached and struck the gong. As if by magic they found themselves instantly transported to China. They were surrounded by athletes coming for a competition in Beijing. The little flame and the young boy went to visit Beijing. When they arrived near a field, they saw children playing a game. This game is played with a racket and a funny white ball with feathers. The little flame went near them and asked them: “What are you playing?

- We play a very popular Olympic sport in China called badminton, answered the children. It is played with a racket and a shuttlecock. You have to send the shuttlecock to the other side of the net. Your opponent has to send it back and if the shuttlecock touches the ground, you win a point.

- Can I play with you? asked the little flame.

- We have just explained to you how we play, it will be difficult. Besides, we don't have time to play with you, answered the children. »

Lin Dan, the little flame and the young boy then returned to the badminton court. The children were very surprised to see her. Lin Dan asked them if he and his friend could play badminton with them. The children all answered “yes”.

The little flame was happy to play with Lin Dan and the children, but after a while the famous badminton player said, "I have to stop because tomorrow I must leave for a competition on the other side of the world.

- Good luck with your competition, exclaimed the children.

- Thank you, said the little flame.

- It was a pleasure to play with you, replied Lin Dan.

- Can I accompany you on a trip? I would like to discover another country and another sport, asked the little flame.

- With pleasure little flame. You remind me of the Olympic flame that I saw when I participated in the Olympics. »

After saying goodbye to the children, Lin Dan and the little flame and the young boy returned to prepare their journey. The little flame was happy to go on an adventure again with a sportsman.
