I dedicate my book to Mrs. Russell or I wouldn't be able to look back at this and thank her.

I didn't remember anything before I blacked out. All I remember was me waking up and seeing him in front of me with a knife. I got flashbacks of me running through dark hallways and seeing the horrible things he had done.

My name is Eric and I go to Highland's High School.  I have a couple of friends that I mostly hang out with. Their names are Jeremy, Lauren, and Brooklyn. We all have been friends since second grade. Jeremy is the "jock" I guess he is athletic and surprisingly smart. Then there's Lauren, the pretty or popular girl you can call her. She's smart too, but no one really knows that. 

Then there's Brooklyn. She is stereotyped and known as the "nice smart girl, but she's not very nice or smart. The reason why people call her that is because she cheats on her tests and gets good grades because of me.

Jeremy and Brooklyn were dating but they broke up yesterday because Lauren told Jeremy that Brooklyn was cheating. All they did in school was yell at each other. I don't even know why Brooklyn still decides to hang out with us, but she still does.

First, Me and my friends, Jeremy, Lauren, and Brooklyn were at school. We all were making plans on where to go after school. Since it was close to Halloween they wanted to go somewhere scary, so we decided on going to this super creepy abandoned mansion by Jeremy's house. "We'll meet up at my house and pack supplies," Jeremy said, "and DON'T forget to bring bags!" Jeremy exclaimed. And that was that. 

We all went to Jeremy's house around 7 and 8 and we all brought empty backpacks. We packed snacks, drinks, and our phones. After we packed up we headed to the mansion. Our town says the mansion is haunted, but there are all types of myths about the mansion. We all were kind of freaking out before we went inside. Lauren and Brooklyn both pushed open the big creaky door. Then we were all inside.

When we entered there were all of these strange noises. The walls were torn, graffiti everywhere it was dark and cold. We all got chills when we walked through the doorway. I don't know who brought it up but next thing you know Brooklyn and Jeremy are yelling at each other again. "Remember when we broke up?" Brooklyn said calmly. 

"WHY DO YOU STILL HANG OUT WITH US!!" Jeremy exclaimed.

Why are you yelling?" Brooklyn asked sarcastically. "You know why you are just trying to paranoid me." Jeremy pointed out. 

"I would never." Brooklyn giggled. 

"Can you guys just shut up for once?" Lauren snapped. "You guys sound like first graders." She stated. 

"Yeah you guys are being so annoying right now." I lectured. "how do you not realize?" I said. Jeremy and Brooklyn finally stopped talking after that. 

"I like this room." Jeremy notified.

Jeremy yelled. It sounded like he was really in danger but we all thought he was joking. Brooklyn then walked in too but before she noticed Jeremy was dead. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Brooklyn screamed. "JEREMYYYY!" She screamed again. Lauren then walked in both of them were screaming so, I walked in too. When I walked in what I saw was Jeremy's dead corpse laying there. It was the most disturbing thing I saw in my life. Jeremy dead who would even expect.
