Yasemin, kış mevsiminin gelmesiyle birlikte karın yağmasını büyük bir heyecanla bekliyordu. Kar yağınca yapacaklarını hayal edip sabırsızlanıyordu. Her sabah uyanır uyanmaz cama koşup dışarıya bakıyordu. Karın yağmadığını görünce keyfi kaçıyor, bütün gün surat asıyordu.

Yasemin soğuk havada yiyecek bulamayan kuşlar için ağaç dallarına yiyecek bıraktı, diğer hayvanların yemesi için sofralarından artan yemekleri onlar için ayırdı. Temiz kaplara su ve yiyecek koyup onların ulaşabilecekleri yerlere koydu.

Yasemin ertesi gün okula gittiğinde bahçede hayvanları için yaptıklarını öğretmenine anlattı. Öğretmeni bu fikri çok beğendi ve okulun bahçesine kuş yemliği ve yuva yapmaya karar verdiler.
