Lifelong president of Lithuanian Deaf Sport Commitee
Aleksas Jasiūnas was born in 1945 May 24 in Ukmergė district, in the family of hearing people.
He studied in Rusnė and Vilnius Deaf boarding school.
He ented Vilnius College and acquired the speciality of a librarian.
He started working in the company as a sport instructor, later he became the president of LKSK. He was a long-time actor of the theater "Mimika".
2005 won the Cross at an Officer at the Order of Merit for Lithuania.
2010 awarded the Badge of Honor for great merits in the development at sports for the disabled.
For decades, Aleksas Jasiūnas was a leader of Lithuanian Deaf Sport Commitee and led the athletes to victories.
His hobbies : running, dodgeball, basketball and chess.
Aleksas is married : has a wife, a son and a daughter.

Aleksas Jasiūnas

He was born on graciosa island, Azores, in 1955.

He went deaf when he was eight.
He Went to study for Lisbon at the age of 8.
He joined the Portuguese Association of the Deaf at the age of eighteen, becoming president in 1983, a position he held for seven years.
He studied at Gallaudet University in Washington DC and took a course in teaching and researching sign languages
In the academic year 1984/85 he was part of the first experience of bilingual teaching to deaf children in Portugal.
In 1992 he launched the Gestuary, a collection of gestures, of the LGP.

Hugo Passos

He was born in September 27, 1979 in Lisbon.
He is an amateur Portuguese Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's lightweight category.
He won four gold medals in his respective category at the Deaflympics (2001, 2005, 2009 and 2013).

Despite having a hearing disability, Passos trained throughout his sporting career as a member of the wrestling team for Casa Pia Athletics Club.
