Sabah gözlerimi açtığım da saat 07.30 du. Okula geç kaldım düşüncesiyle yatağımdan fırladım. Annem mutfakta bulaşık makinesini boşaltıyordu. Ona:

-“Neden beni uyandırmadın anne okula geç kalacağım” dedim. Annem gülümseyerek:

-“Okul mu? Kızım sömestr tatili başladı, bugün tatil.” dedi. O an aklım başıma geldi. Evet dün karneleri almıştık ve bugün tatildi. Annemle beraber bu olaya gülmeye başladık. Annem:

-“Hadi git biraz daha uyu.” dedi. Onun sözünü dinleyerek yatağıma geri döndüm ve 2 saat daha uyudum. Yatağımdan kalkıp banyoda yüzümü yıkarken annemin kapının anahtar kilidini çevirerek eve girdiğini duydum.  

Annem:

-“Kardeşinle beraber üçümüz için sıcak simit aldım hadi

kahvaltı edelim” dedi. Beraber güzel bir kahvaltı yaptık. Sonra arkadaşım Melis ve Ayşe beni gezmek için dışarıya çağırdılar. Bir bardak daha çay içtikten sonra öğlen dışarıya çıktım.

Arkadaşlarımla alışveriş merkezine gittik. Biraz dolaştıktan sonra acıktığımızı fark ederek yemek yedik. Ardından birer tane sıcak çikolata aldık. Alışveriş merkezinden çıkıp eve doğru yürürken birden 3 tane köpeğin havlayarak peşimizden geldiğini gördük. Korkuyla köpeklerden kaçmaya başladık. Bir süre kaçtıktan sonra havlama sesleri kesildi ve köpeklerin başka bir sokağa doğru koştuğunu gördük. Arkamıza dönüp baktığımızda Ayşe’nin olmadığını fark ettik ve hemen geri döndük. Ancak Ayşe ortalarda yoktu. Biraz ileride bakkal amca vardı ve bize el sallayarak “Arkadaşınız burada!” diye sesleniyordu. Biz oraya gittiğimizde Ayşe çok korkmuştu ve nefes nefeseydi. Bakkal amca sakinleşmemiz için bize önce su ardından çikolata ikram etti. Melis:

    -“Ayşe iyi misin?” diye sordu. Ayşe:

    -“Ben iyiyim, siz iyi misiniz?” dedi. Ben de:

“İyiyiz, merak etme. Senin arkamızda olmadığını fark ettiğimizde biraz endişelendik sadece.” dedim.  Daha sonra babamı arayıp başımızdan geçen durumu anlattım ve;

-“ Baba bizi almaya gelebilir misin?” diyerek babamdan yardım istedim. Babam da sesimden çok korktuğumu anlamış olacak ki ;

-“ Tamam, hemen geliyorum. Beni orada bekleyin.” dedi. Babamla birlikte eve geldik ve arkadaşlarımla beraber biraz dinlendik. Sonra birden kapının zili çalmaya başladı.

Annem kapıyı açtığında kucağında yavru bir kediyle gelen erkek kardeşimi gördü. Yavru kedi çok üşümüş ve acıkmıştı. Annem hemen bir kabın içine bir miktar süt koydu ve kedinin karnını doyurdu. Karnı doyan ve ısınan kedi neşe içinde odanın içinde koşturmaya başladı. Annem kardeşime kediyi nereden bulduğunu sordu. Kardeşim:

-‘’Bahçede arkadaşlarımla oynarken bir ağacın dibinde bulduk,  etrafa bakındık ama annesini göremedik. Bina görevlisi amcaya da sorduk ama annesini iki gündür görmediğini söyledi. Onu bu soğukta dışarıda bırakamazdım anne, bu yüzden aldım eve getirdim. Bizde kalabilir mi anne, lütfen, bu soğukta dışarıda tek başına yapamaz.’ ’dedi. Annem:

-‘’Tabi ki kalabilir ancak sizler de ona bakacaksınız, anlaştık mı?’’ dedi gülümseyerek. Anneme söz verip mutlu bir şekilde kedimizle oynamaya başladık. Daha sonra babamla kediyi veterinere götürdük. Orada kontrolleri ve temizliği yapıldı, ona mama alıp evimize geri döndük. Arkadaşlarımla odama geçip kediye bir isim bulmaya karar verdik. Arkadaşlarıma fikirlerini sorduğumda bı kaç farklı cevap geldi. Melis, Bulut ismini söyledi. Ayşe’de ilginç bir isim olduğu için Artemis ismini önerdi. Benim aklıma da Tarçın ismi geldi. Arkadaşlarım da Tarçın ismini güzel buldu ve kedimizin ismini Tarçın koymaya karar verdik. O sırada içeriden annemin sesini duydum.

Annem:

-“Arven! Buraya gelir misin? Size birşeyler hazırladım, içeriye götürmeme yardım eder misin?” dedi.

Ben:

-“Tabi ki götürürüm anne.” Dedim ve kızlara annemin hazırladığı o mis kokulu kurabiyelerden ikram ettim. Biz sohbet ederken kapı çaldı. Gelen kardeşimdi. Kediye mama getirmişti. Kurabiyelerimizi yedikten sonra Melis saatin epey bir geç olduğunu fark etti.

Melis:

-“Artık dağılsak mı? Saat epey bir geç olmuş.” dedi.

Ayşe de onu destekleyince babamla onları evlerine bıraktık. Eve geri döndüğümüzde kapının aralık olduğunu gördük. Aklımıza ilk gelen Tarçın oldu. Onu evin içinde her yerde arasak da bulamadık. Kardeşim arkamdan isyana başlamıştı. Tarçın kaçmış.

Tarçın ‘ı her yerde aradık fakat bir türlü bulamadık. Kardeşim de ben de çok üzgündük. O gece ağlamaktan uyuyamamıştım. Sabah kahvaltıya şişmiş gözlerle gitmiştim fakat kardeşim gülüyordu ve çok mutluydu. Babam bu sabah sosyal medyada kedimiz Tarçın’ ın fotoğrafını görmüş. Fotoğrafın altında sahibi beni arayıp ulaşabilir yazıyormuş, numarasını da varmış. Dünyada böyle iyi kalpli, yardımsever insanlar da vardı, onu sokağa terk etmemiş, yanına almıştı. Fotoğrafın altındaki numarayı hemen aradık. Telefonu açan abi mahallemizin parkında buluşabileceğimizi söyledi. Abinin söylediği saatte parka gittik, kedimiz Tarçın ordaydı ve sonunda ona kavuştuk. Sevinçten havalara uçmuştuk. Kedimizi bulan bu kişiye teşekkür ettik ve evimize döndük.  Hiç aklıma gelmezdi sosyal medyanın beni bu konuda mutlu edeceği.

Ertesi sabah annem bakkaldan ekmek almamı istediği için beni erkenden uyandırdı.Bugün gün arkadaşları ile bizde çay içeceklermiş.Üzerimi giyindim.Misafir ikramlarının hayallerini kurarak bakkala gidiyordum ki karşıda Ümmü Teyzeyi  gördüm.Ümmü Teyze bizim komşularımızdan biri.Tek başına yaşıyor.Bacağından rahatsız olduğu için de baston kullanıyor.Elinde içi dolu kocaman pazar çantasını görünce taşıması için yardım  etmek  istedim.Bakkaldan ekmeği  aldığım gibi yanına gittim.Elindeki pazar çantasının içinden bir iki poşet alarak yükünü hafiflettim  ve bizim sokağa doğru yürümeye başladık.

Sokağa vardığımızda büyük bir kalabalığın telaş içinde Ümmü teyzenin evinin önünde toplandığını gördük. Evden dumanlar yükseliyordu.

Ümmü Teyze:

Hemen onu kaldırıma oturttum. Yangın kısa sürede söndürüldü ve büyük bir kayıp yaşanmadı. Ümmü Teyzeyi bizim eve götürdüm. Evde annemin mahalleden gün arkadaşları vardı. Herkes Ümmü Teyzeyi teselli etti. Bazıları evinin temizliğini, bazılarıda kararan duvarların boyasını yapmayı üstlendi. Herkes Ümmü Teyze’nin yaralarını sarmak ve ona yardım etmek için seferber olmuştu. Ertesi gün Ümmü Teyzeye yardım etmek için Ümmü Teyzenin evinin önünde buluştuk.

Babam mahalledeki arkadaşlarıyla birlikte evin boyasını ve badanasını yapabileceğini söyledi. Biz de annem ve birkaç komşumuz ile birlikte evin temizlik işini üstlenecektik. Öteki komşularda Ümmü Teyze ile birlikte yeni eşya bakmaya gidecekti. Hatta Ayşe ve Melis'te yardıma geldi. Biz çalışırken bize limonata ve kurabiye getirdiler.

 Bir süre sonra iş birliği ile evin temizliğini de boya badanasınıda hemencecik bitirdik.

Eşyalarda akşama doğru yavaş yavaş gelmeye başlamıştı. Eşyaları her zamanki gibi yine iş birliği içerisinde yerleştirdik. Ümmü Teyze bize o kadar çok teşekkür ettiki... Ertesi gün sabahın erken saatlerinde kapımız aniden çalındı. Annem kapıyı açınca hiç tanımadığımız biriyle karşı karşıyaydık. Bize aniden " Kar tanesi nerede? Hiçbirimiz kadının söylediklerini anlamamıştık. “Kar tanesi de kim?” diye düşündüm. Biz neler olduğunu anlamaya çalışırken kadın bir kez daha Kar tanesi nerede diye sordu. 

O sırada babam: “Kar tanesi kim?” dedi. Kadının gözlerinden akıl almaz bir öfke fışkırırken “Kedim !!” diye bağırdı. Ne yani Tarçın onun kedisi miydi? Hepimiz olduğumuz yerde kalmıştık. Kardeşim hemen arka odada olan Tarçın’ın yanına koştu. Benim içimi tarifsiz bir hüzün kaplamıştı bile. Kısa sürede olsa Tarçın’a çok alışmıştık. Annem ne olduğunu daha iyi anlamak için kadını içeriye davet etti. Kadın içeriye adım atar atmaz Tarçın arka odadan çıkan kardeşimin kucağından atladı ve kadının yanına geldi. Kadın kediye öyle sıkı sarılıyordu ki Tarçının onun kedisi olduğunu anlamamak mümkün değildi. Meğer Tarçın’ın gerçek adı Kar tanesiymiş. Kadının ilk baştaki öfkeli halinden eser kalmamıştı. Her şeyi sakin sakin anlatmaya başladı.

Kadın, kedisi Kar Tanesi’ne sarılınca çok mutlu oldu ve bizi öğle yemeğine davet etti.Kendisine teşekkür edip güzel havanın tadını çıkarmak için hayvanat bahçesine beraber gitmeyi teklif ettik.Teklifimizi kabul etti ve oraya beraber gittik.Hayvanat bahçesinde güzel ve eğlenceli bir gündü.

Ama aniden bir şey oldu, Kar Tanesi yeniden kayboldu ve hepimiz onu aramaya başladık.

                İlk iş olarak hayvanat bahçesi görevlilerine durumu bildirdik, onlarda güvenlik kameraları yardımıyla Kar Tanesi’ ni buldular. Kar Tanesine bir kez daha kavuşmuştuk. Görevlilere teşekkür edip ,daha fazla macera yaşamamak için hayvanat bahçesinden ayrıldık. Asya Hanım (Kar tanesinin sahibi),bize istediğimiz zaman kedisini görebileceğimizi söyledi. Kedimizle vedalaşıp, evin yolunu tuttuk .Eve giderken Kızılay’ın kan bağışı çadırlarını gördük .Annem ve babam bu kampanyaya kan vererek destek olmak istedi. Annem ve babam kan verirken neden önemli olduğunu sordum.

Annem: Hastanede yaşam mücadelesi veren insanlar, yaralılar kaza geçirenler acil kana ihtiyaç duyduklarında uygun olan kandan bu sayede yararlanabiliyorlar. Ayni zamanda insanların 6 ayda bir kan vermesi kendi sağlıkları içinde önemlidir. Ben:'' Bende kan vermek istiyorum o zaman. Babam: ''Maalesef sen veremezsin şu an küçüksün ama saçların uzun ,istersen lösemili çocuklar için saç bağışı yapıp onların kullanabilmesi için peruk yapılmasını sağlayabilirsin.

Ben: Harika bir fikir,b ende en kısa zamanda bunu

Kan bağısından sonra evimize gittik. Akşam Yemeğimi  yiyip yarın okul başlayacağı için okul hazırlıklarını tamamlamaya başladım.Bir taraftan da bu sömestr tatilinde yaşadığımız olayları düşündüm. Arkadaşlarıma ve öğretmenlerime anlatmak için sabırsızlanıyordum. Ne çok olay gelmişti başımıza. Ama hepsini de insanların yardımı ve iyi niyetliliği sayesinde tatlıya bağlamış, İnsanları mutlu etmiş ve bizde mutlu olmuştuk. Eeee ne demişler,

When I opened my eyes in the morning, it was 7.30 am. I jumped out of my bed thinking I was late for school. My mother was in the kitchen emptying the dishwasher. I asked her:

"Why didn't you wake me up mom, I'm going to be late for school". She smiled:

-"School? My daughter,semester break has started, today is holiday.” said. That's when I came to my senses. Yes, we got the school report cards yesterday and today is holiday. My mother and I started to laugh at this incident. My mother said:

"Get some more sleep." Following her words, I went back to my bed and slept for 2 more hours. I got out of

bed and while I was washing my face in the bathroom, I heard my mother enter the house by turning the keylock on the door. My mother:

"I bought hot bagels for us, let's have breakfast," she said. We had a nice breakfast together. Then my friends Melis and Ayşe called me out for a walk. After drinking another cup of tea, I went out at noon.

I went to the mall with my friends. After walking around for a while, we realized that we were hungry and had lunch there.Then we got some hot chocolate. As we were walking out of the mall and walking towards the house, we suddenly saw 3 dogs barking after us. We started to run away from the dogs in fear. After running for a while, the barking sounds stopped and we saw the dogs running towards another street. When we looked back, we realized that Ayşe was not there and we immediately went back. However, Ayşe was not around. A little further ahead, there was an uncle grocer and waving to us, “Your friend is here!” he was calling. When we got there, Ayşe was terrified and out of breath. Uncle grocer offered us some water and chocolate to calm us down. Melis:

"Ayse, are you okay?" she asked. Ayşe:

    "I'm fine, are you okay?" said. Me:

    "We're fine, don't worry. We were just a little worried when we realized you weren't behind us." I said. Then I called my father and told him the situation we had been through and;

   "Daddy, can you come to get us?" I asked my father for help. My father will have understood that I am very afraid of from my voice;

-" Okay I'm coming immediately. Wait for me there.” said. I came home with my father and rested a bit with my friends. Then suddenly the doorbell started ringing.

When my mother opened the door,she saw my brother who came with a little kitten in his arms.The kitten was cold and hungry.My mother fed the kitten with some milk.The kitten that got warm and was full up started to run in the room with joy.My mother asked my brother where he had found this kitten.My brother:

-‘’While I was playing in the garden with my friends,we found it under a tree.We looked for its mom but we couldn’t find her.I asked the janitor and he told me that he hadn’t seen the mommy cat for two days.I couldn’t leave it outside in that cold weather, so I brought it with me.Could it stay with us mommy,please?It can’t do it alone.’’

My mother smiled and said : -‘’Of course it can stay with us, but you will also look after it, ok?’’ We promised to do so and started to play with our little kitten happily.Then we took it to the vet with our dad.It was examined and cleaned there.We bought kitten food and came back our home.There was only one thing left; to find a lovely name to our sweet kitten.

My friends and I decided to go to my room and find a name for the cat. When I asked my friends for their opinions, I got a few different answers. Melis offered ‘Bulut’. Ayşe offered ‘Artemis’ as she thought it was an interesting name. The name Tarçın came to my mind as well. My friends also found the name Tarçın beautiful and we decided to name our cat Tarçın. Then I heard my mother's voice from inside.

My mother:

-“Arven! Would you come here? I've prepared something for you, can you help me take it inside?" said.

Me:

"Of course I will, mom." I said and offered the girls one of those fragrant cookies my mother prepared. While we were chatting, the doorbell rang. It was my brother who came. 

 He had brought food for the cat. After eating our cookies, Melis realized that it was quite late.

Melis:

"Should we break up now? It's pretty late.” said.

When Ayşe supported her, my father and I drove them home. When we got back to the house, we found that the door was ajar. Tarçın was the first thing that came to our minds. We couldn't find him even though we searched everywhere in the house. My brother started to  reproach. Tarçın had run away.

We looked for Tarçın  everywhere, but we couldn't find it. My brother and I were both very upset. I couldn't sleep that night because of crying. In the morning I went to breakfast with swollen eyes, but my brother was laughing and very happy. My father saw the photo of our cat Tarçın on social media this morning. Under the photo, it   says the owner of the cat can call me and he wrote his number. There were such good-hearted and helpful people in the world, he didn't leave him on the street, he took him with him. We immediately called the number below the photo. The man who answered the phone said that we could meet in the park of our neighborhood. We went to the park at the time the man said, our cat Tarçın was there and we finally got  him. We were soaring with joy. We thanked the man  who found our cat and returned home. My mum woke me up to buy bread that day.My mum and her friends were going to meet for a tea party.I put on my clothes to buy bread and I was dreaming the cookies and cakes for  my mum’s party,I saw Aunt Ümmü.She is one of our neighbours.She lives alone.She uses a walking stick because of her leg.Anyway she was carrying a huge and heavy bag.When I saw her I wanted to help  her.Then  we started to walk to home.

When we reached the street, we saw a large crowded gathered in front of Ümmü Aunt's house in a hurry. Smoke was rising from the house. 

Ümmü Aunt:

-Oops! she shouted, I forgot the stove. 

I just sat her on the pavement. The fire was extinguished in a short time and there was no great loss. I took Ümmü Aunt to our house. My mother had friends from the neighborhood at home. Everyone consoled Ümmü Aunt. Some took on the cleaning of their house and some took on the painting of the darkening walls. Everyone 

mobilized to help Ümmü Aunt. Tarçın, the cute cat of our house, did not leave Ümmü's lap all day as if he understood his sadness.

The next day we met in front of Aunt Ümmü's house to help her. 

My father said that he could paint and whitewash the house with his friends in the neighborhood. We were going to undertake the cleaning of the house with my mother and a few neighbors. The other neighbors would go to look for new furniture with Ümmü Aunt. Even Ayşe and Melis came to help. They brought us lemonade and cookies while we were working. Lemonade was very well for us in this hot weather. After a while, we finished the cleaning and paint whitewashing of the house in a short time with cooperation. Things started to conclude slowly towards evening. We placed the items in cooperation as usual. Ümmü Aunt thanked us so much... The next day, in the early hours of the morning, there was a sudden knock on our door. When my mother opened the door, we were faced with someone we had never met. She suddenly shouted at us, "Where's the Snowflake?"

None of us understood what the woman was saying. “Who is the Snowflake?”  I thought. “Where is Snowflake?” the woman asked once more as we tried to figure out what was going on.

At that time my father asked:

 “Who is the snowflake?” 

“My cat!!!” she yelled out. So what, Tarçın was her cat? We were all extremely surprised. My brother immediately ran to Tarçın, who was in the back room. An indescribable sadness filled me. We got used to Tarçın in a short time. 

My mother invited the woman inside to understand better what had happened. As soon as the woman stepped inside, Tarçın jumped off my brother's lap, who was coming out of the back room and came near to the woman. The woman hugged the cat so tightly that it was impossible not to realize that Tarçın was her cat. It turned out that Tarçın's real name was Snowflake. There was no trace of her initial anger. She began to explain everything calmly.

The woman was happy when she embraced Snowflake and she invited us for lunch.We thanked her and offered to go for a visit to the zoo together to enjoy the nice weather.She accepted our offer and we went there.It was a beautiful and fun day at the zoo.

But suddenly something happened, Snowflake disappeared again and we all started looking for it.

As a first step, we reported the situation to the zoo officials and they found Snowflake with the help of security cameras. We came together with Snowflake once again. We thanked the staff and left the zoo to avoid any more adventures. Ms. Asya (the owner of Snowflake) told us that we could see her cat whenever we wanted. We said goodbye to our cat and went home. On the way home we saw the blood  donation tents of the Red Crescent. Our mother and father wanted to support this campaign by donating blood. I asked why it was important for my mother and father to donate blood.

My mother said ''In this way, people struggling to survive in the hospital, the injured, and those who have had an accident can benefit from the appropriate blood when they need blood urgently. At the same time, it is important for people to give blood every 6 months for their own health.''

I said''Then I want to donate blood too.

My father said''Unfortunately, you right now, but your hair is long.

Great idea, I want to it as soon as possible. I said''

After the blood , we went home. I ate my dinner and started to school because school start tomorrow. On the other hand, I thought about the events we experienced during this semester break. I couldn't wait to tell my friends and teachers.made people happy and we were happy too. Well you know:
