Today, I am going to tell you a story about how I ran away. This story takes place in the middle of December, in first grade.

I was having a normal school day, when suddenly we got an announcement.

Everyone was excited, but when we got there, it was actually more boring than the classroom. I had already been warned twice to stay quiet, so I had to sit up front with my mom. At this point, I was so impatient, that I just got up, and ran out the door. She immediately noticed me, and tried to grab me, but it didn’t work.

While I was running down the halls, I could hear the adults yelling for me, but I didn’t listen. I wasn’t just determined to get out of that assembly, I was determined to get out of the entire school! I could already tell it was going to be hard though. I felt like pac man in the maze, only the ghosts are invincible. The halls seemed to stretch on forever. I just kept running, but eventually, one of the teachers saw me. I now had to run even faster, just to get away from that one teacher. But it wasn’t just one teacher… it was two! “Oh no!” I screamed, trying to get away from both of them. I could hear them yelling, “come back, Rykin!” But when I heard them, I found myself in a corner. I knew they were going to catch me, so I said, “Just get me.” My mom was there, and she said, “I’m VERY disappointed, Rykin!”
