Chapter 1:
Winter's Alphas
It's a cold December night underneath a full moon. In a forest there's a pack of wolves. A wolf named ,Rosewood, gave birth to 6 pups. The next morning she named them: Maroon (Boy), Dew (Girl), Timber (boy), Rosemary (girl), Autumn (girl), Moonstone (girl). Rosewood stayed with her pup for the first couple of weeks. After she left her pups in her den and went hunting for them. Her and her mate, Ocean, are the alphas of the pack.
"Come on Dew! You need to see this!" Moonstone shouted. Moonstone and Dew went up a hill and saw a caribou on the other side. "It's food. Should we attack it?" Moonstone questioned her older sister. "We never learned it yet. We shouldn't do something that we don't know. It could get us and mom and dad in trouble," Dew responded. Then she walked away.
Moonstone stayed for a bit then let the caribou go. She thought about what would happen if she attempted to attack it. She left back for camp but she took one more glance and it looked like something was watching her from behind a tree. But she though it was another wolf just going to hunt for the caribou.
When Moonstone came back Maroon was waiting for her at the front of the camp. "Mom and dad are waiting for us in the cave," Maroon said. Then they both headed toward the cave. When they got there, Maroon and Moonstone, both looked at each other in worry. They were both scared about what was happening. They saw everybody waiting for them in the main part of the cave.
"There you are. We were waiting for you guys," said Ocean upset. "Kids, there's something important to tell you," Rosewood told them. "Me and your father are soon going to
resign as Alphas. Soon we have to move because the pack doesn't agree that this is the safest place. So if me and your dad lose the fight we'll have to leave." "What! But... but... but what will happen. We might not find a new home!" Rosemary panicked.
The next day was the fight. It was Ocean and Rosewood against Snowy and Eagle. The fight lasted a long time. But in the end Snowy and Eagle won. The next day, Ocean and Rosewood had to leave.
Chapter 2:
Meeting Fluorite
Rosewood, Ocean, and the pups all left to a different part of the forest. It was a slow walk trying to find the perfect spot for a new home. Eventually, they found a nice area by a waterfall. There was a cozy empty cave that was perfect for them to stay in.
One day, Moonstone, was sitting by the waterfall while her mom, dad, Dew, maroon, Rosemary, and Timber were out hunting. Her and Autumn had to stay back. Autumn was in the cave at the time when Moonstone
saw something running in the forest. Moonstone got up and looked back at the cave. She went up to the entrance to make sure that she just Autumn was the one she saw, but Autumn was sleeping. "Okay, if that wasn't Autumn then who or what was that?" Moonstone questioned. Then, she ran off into the forest to find out who or what that was.
Moonstone entered the forest. She didn't find what she saw yet. But then she spotted the thing up ahead watching the waterfall. Moonstone slowly walked up to the figure. The figure turned around and saw Moonstone. "Ahh!" they both screamed. The figure cowered down then said nervously, "Don't hurt me! I
didn't mean to follow you!" "I won't hurt you. I was just curious on why you were watching my family's territory," Moonstone replied. "Oh... sorry. I'll leave now," The figure said. "Don't Leave! I just want to know who you are. I know you're a wolf but it's nice to get to no someone," Moonstone said. "Well, my name is Fluorite, and I'm not a wolf. I am a husky. I just look like wolf. See, my dad was a wolf and my mom was a husky. when she got pregnant her owners abandoned her. I am the only one that looks like a wolf out of my siblings," Fluorite said. Moonstone replied, "My name is Moonstone. Me and my family just moved to this area. They should be back soon. Then you can meet them!" "Uhhh... not sure that's a good idea. There's been rivalry between huskies
and wolves," Fluorite mentioned. "Why?" Moonstone questioned. Fluorite replied, "I don't know but all I know is that the rivalry has been going on for centuries. Also I have to go now. See you later." "Let's at least meet every week," Moonstone said. Fluorite turned around and nodded and left.
Moonstone then went back to the cave. Her parents and siblings just came back. "Where did you come from?" Rosewood asked. "I thought I saw prey in the forest. It was just another wolf, she didn't know she was trespassing and just apologized and left.
Chapter 3:
Growing Up
It's been 2 years and every week Fluorite and Moonstone met up in the forest, until one day when Dew caught her acting suspicious. Moonstone headed toward the forest as usual, but Dew followed her. Dew saw Fluorite and approached them both. "Moonstone was this the wolf you saw 2 years ago!" Dew shouted angrily.
"I should probably go...," Fluorite said. "Good go. You don't belong here! You're trespassing. Now go!" Dew shouted. Fluorite ran away. "Sorry!" Moonstone yelled.
Then Dew and Moonstone went back to the cave.
"You need to explain why you were talking to a stranger!" Dew yelled at Moonstone. "Wait? Moonstone, you were talking to someone we never met!?!?" her dad shouted. "She was another wolf. I told her she was trespassing and she understood. I asked her though to meet me every week. I have no friends and nothing else to do. So I deserve a friend," Moonstone replied.
"Fine," her mom said, "As long as we meet her the next time you see her." Moonstone replied scared, "She might not come back because Dew scared her off. I don't
know if she'll comeback next week or not." "Moonstone, when your friend comes back ask her to stay longer if we're gone that day," her dad said. Moonstone nodded her head. It was a promise she made.
It was months after the last time seeing Fluorite. Moonstone would always wait in the spot they would meet up, but Fluorite never appeared. Autumn started going to the training so did Moonstone. She missed Fluorite, but she decided that learning is better instead of waiting for a husky who might not return.
Chapter 4:
The Prophecy
It's been 2 years since we've seen Moonstone and her family. Ocean and Rosewood are getting older and Moonstone had an important question to ask. "Mom, dad?" Moonstone asked quietly. "Yes," Rosewood weakly replied. "One time, my friend Fluorite, she mentioned something about there being a rivalry between wolves and huskies. Is that true?" Moonstone asked.
"It's true. But there's a prophecy saying the one wolf and one husky will become friends for eternity. Together they'll try and fix the rivalry between us and huskies. No one knows who it'll be or when it'll happen. Until then, we still remain at war," her mom said.
"Thank you," Moonstone said. Then she nodded her head and left. She saw a figure waiting in their spot they would meet every week. Moonstone's face lit up and she ran there. She saw a figure the looked like Fluorite. "Fluorite?" Moonstone said questioning.
"Hi Moonstone!" Fluorite said in an angry tone. "Flu
orite?" Moonstone said scared. Fluorite turned toward her then leaped at Moonstone! They fought. Moonstone felt betrayed and was scared to fight. Her and Fluorite have been best friends since they were pups. Luckily Dew and Maroon heard them fighting and ran over.
They arrived just in time. They both were slashing at Fluorite. When Fluorite was far away from Moonstone, Dew ran up to her to make sure she was okay. Moonstone was okay but she had a few wounds. Maroon scared off Fluorite and him and Dew helped Moonstone back to the cave.
Autumn is also in the cave. She studied plants and other things that help sick and injured people. "Autumn!" Dew shouted. She walked over. "What happened?" Autumn questioned. "Moonstone got into a fight," Maroon answered. "I'll have a look," Autumn replied.
Dew and Maroon were relieved. They walked out of the cave. But, still Dew had an uneasy feeeling about the future.
Chapter 5:
Betrayal and Revenge
A month after Fluorite's and Moonstone's fight, Ocean and Rosewood passed. Most of Moonstone's wounds were healed but, there was a cut on her paw that was deep. Moonstone had to learn how to walk on three legs for her safety. Every time she tried to step with that paw it hurt.
Moonstone was also confused. Her and Fluorite were best friends since they were pups. But, Fluorite
attacked her. She was hurt, confused, and a little angry. Ever since Moonstone didn't talk. Her siblings left her alone but, Timber went to talk with her one day.
"Moonstone talk to me. We won't be able to help you if you don't communicate," Timber said. Timber kept begging her, but Moonstone just ignored. After three minutes, Timber got up and was about to leave the cave. Just then, Moonstone said, "It's about the fight." Timber turned to her in confusion. "My friend Fluorite, she attacked me. I was confused and scared at the time and didn't fight back. I regret it now. But, now I am just confused, hurt, and little angry at her. Who attacks
someone who was friends with you since you were a pup? It doesn't feel right. I feel betrayed.
Timber went up to her and said this, "Betrayal does hurt, but forgiving doesn't make it up. We have to get revenge."
