GREENTOPIA-Our sustainable home
eTwinning 2022-23
"Greentopia-our sustainable home" is a project that aims to make students aware of the changes undergone by their immediate environment and understand these spaces through the concept of sustainability. They will reflect on their schools and cities and how they can make them greener and ecofriendly. The project is based on the eTwinning 2022 annual theme :
‘Our future: beautiful, sustainable, together. Schools and the New European Bauhaus: Imagining a creative learning environment in green and inclusive schools’.

This is a collection of HAIKU poems inspired by the photos shared
that portray the changes in the natural environment of our cities and towns . This HAIKU collection is the collaborative product of our international teams.

Collège Jasmin Les Iles
The haîku poem by the 6ème4
The reciting by 1st Primary of Trilofos (Steve&Panagiotis)

Look at the blue of the sea,
When the earth overturns
Normally nothing will change
The buildings are observing,
Poseidon watches,
The gentle Aegean sea
The translation by 1st Primary School of Nea Redestos
The reciting by 1st Primary School of Nea Redestos
More Haïkus by the 6è1 and the 6è4 ,Collège Jasmin Les Iles, Agen, France
Les nuages sont loin
La mer est là, présente
Le sable dort
The clouds are away
The sea is everywhere
The sand is sleeping
Sable chaud couleur or
Refléte par les rayons du soleil
Sur le miroir de la mer
The warm golden sand
Reflects by the resting sun rays
On the sea mirror
Un ciel sans début
Un soleil se reflétant,
Les vagues dans le vent
A sky with no start
A sun reflecting itself
The waves in the wind
Sable doré, bateaux voilés
Vent d'été reflète le ciel
La mer Egée reflète le ciel bleuté
Golden sand, veiled boats
Summer wind reflects the sky
Blue the Aegan sea

More haikus in Greek C2&C1
Ουρανός άσπρος
με πουλιά γκρίζα
και πολύ αεράκι
Το εμπόδιο
της γης είναι οι άνθρωποι
του κόσμου

Η θάλασσα έχει
τα κύματα και την
άμμο παντού

Η ομπρελίτσα
μες στην άμμο κι εσύ
στη θάλασσα

Λουλούδια άσπρα
και λουλούδια κόκκινα
μα θέλω κίτρινα

Το περιβάλλον μας είναι
πολύτιμο για
τους ανθρώπους
Τα δένδρα μας
προσφέρουν οξυγόνο
ζωή και ομορφιά
Αγαπώ το περιβάλλον
το προσέχω και
το φροντίζω

The haîku poem
The reciting by Floriana Primary School (Matthew)
Houses long ago
were low with little yards
and many flowers.
Houses at present
small and made with cement
without any yards.

The translation by 11th Primary School of Palaio Faliro
The reciting by 11th Primary School of Palaio Faliro (Philip F.)

Go plant some trees.
You can save the planet.
No more fires!!!
Φύση όμορφη
θα σε προστατεύουμε
μας δίνεις ζωή.

Όμορφε ήλιε
εσύ που μας φωτίζεις
και μας ζεσταίνεις.

Μπλε ουρανέ μου
με τα άσπρα και τα γκρι
συννεφάκια σου.

The reciting by 11th Primary School of Palaio Faliro (Aspa & Marianna)

Beneath trees and grass,
Small school promotes growth and life,
Nature's classroom blooms
In walls and concrete,
Big school's tree a painted dream,
Nature left behind
The translation by 2nd Primary School of Ermoupolis
The reciting by 2nd Primary School of Ermoupolis
