Valentine's Day meeting with our loved ones 14. 02. 2023

On February 14, 2023 we had a Valentine's Day get-together with our parents. The parents or grandparents were introduced to the eTwinning club + the new H.E.L.P. project.  Together with their children, they played games prepared by the students. We all had a tour of the Grade II school and the parents reminisced about what it used to be like here. We hope everyone enjoyed the session and we look forward to seeing you next time.

Online SKYPE introductory meeting with seniors from the Home for Seniors Antošovice, Social Services Silesian Ostrava, contributory organization, 22. 2. 2023

Today was a great day for our seniors, with whom we have established close cooperation not only within our eTwinning club. They SKYPED for the first time. Together with the pupils of the 4th grade we got acquainted, sang songs, learned the first verse of a new poem. The seniors listened to our students sing and recite in English. We all enjoyed the meeting and this is far from our last online meeting, we are looking forward to the next "pre-Easter" meeting.

Ceramics - we create products for a home for the elderly - decoration of the building, 13.3.2023

We spent today in the ceramics workshop.  Some of us worked with ceramic clay for the very first time. It should be noted that we were very successful with the products, which are intended for... we won't reveal yet  We still have one more glazing session to go.  We would like to thank our tutor Ivetka Koperová for her time and wonderful methodical guidance, without which we would not have known how to do it.  Thank you.

March - book month - talking and playing with our little ones. 

Wednesday 15.3.2023 was very beneficial for many pupils and children from our school  On the one hand there were pupils (eTwinners) who learned how to work with apps, created 

an e-book and prepared an online memory game for the children.  On the other side, there were children from the kindergarten who were very happy that pupils from the primary school came to them and had a nice time together.  Although we had a little initial problem with the technology,  in the end everything got sorted out and everyone had a great time.  

We did say afterwards that it had one small flaw though... It was too short... We'll come again next time.  Thank you.

Monday, 3. 4. 2023 was a big day for most of us.  For the first time we met online with students from Turkey.  We were very excited, but also a bit scared, after all, to speak English in front of everyone.  There are 10 schools in our eTwinning project. So we split into groups and our Czech group connected via the ZOOM app with students from two Turkish schools, DEÜ Özel 75. YIL Eğitim Kurumları  and Nail Reşit Secondary School.  We prepared a presentation where we introduced ourselves and talked about ourselves. We even chatted for a while.  We rate the whole meeting very well and we are looking forward to the next one.

Woooow.  What a treat today.  As we promised to meet again before Easter online on Skype with our seniors (Social Services Slezská Ostrava, a contributory organization), we fulfilled it. It was a great half an hour.  Our seniors recited to us a poem that we set as homework last time.  They did wonderfully  and got a big A star from us. 1️* Today we taught our seniors the English greeting "hello" on arrival and departure.  We sang a simple English song about introductions.  We, on the other hand, prepared a presentation with pictures and the seniors guessed what story it was. They all guessed everything  and the most points were awarded to Mrs. Evička, who will receive a small prize from us in April.  And why in April? On Tuesday, April 18th, we have a visit to the Home for the Elderly in Koblová planned.  We have to meet in person too, although online parties are great too.

Visit to the Home for the Elderly, Antošovice, 18. 4. 2023

We were all looking forward to today  We prepared carefully and visited our seniors together with our teacher, assistants and Mrs. Lazarova. Yes, the ones we have already skyped with twice.  We know what's proper and that's why the presents travelled with us.  Handmade ceramic houses will decorate the premises of the Home for the Elderly. Mr. Director sent everyone a pencil and a pen and our teacher, immediately invented homework for grandmothers.  How else... They have to write us a letter and draw us a picture for Children's Day. We're looking forward to it.

 Our time together was filled with songs, poems, playing the keyboard and Max Lazar played the trumpet for us.  And we sang with him too.  It was absolutely amazing. If you are our regular readers, you know that in our last online meeting we played the "Know the Fairy Tale" game. Mrs. Evička won.  We made her a diploma and brought her flowers as a reward. ⚘️ The teacher was proud of us because she didn't know anything and we surprised her too. 

Although our first visit was a bit embarrassing on both sides, we think the goals were met.   The teacher clearly told everyone to enjoy it.  And so it was.  Thank you so much for the refreshments and goodies we received  It was indeed our last big event from the eTwinning project, but far from the last with our seniors.  We invited them to our school and they in turn invited us to theirs.  In May we will have a pre-holiday Skype and then after the holidays we will be looking forward to meeting together again. ️

Teaching English to the 1st graders.

It was our first time that we were acting as a teacher. We have prepared a song, an online game, some flashcards and a drawing game to draw the interest of students to a certain subject. For example, some of us were teaching the topic of Clothes, and others 'Food'. We were really excited before the class. We were not sure that the students will even listen to us. But they did. And they seemed to enjoy it very much. Being a teacher is a challenging, but amazing job! We were happy to help!

On February, 6, 2023 Türkiye faced a terrible earthquake during which thousands of people lost their shelter and even their life. So our school has arranged a campaign to help the victims of the earthquake. Some families have contributed by donating it privately. We all as one supported our natio

H.E.L.P.ing Animals

Our visit to a local Animal Rehabilitation Centre. Between May 2 and 3 we have conducted a campaign aiming to encourage our friends donate some animal food. During the campaign we played a game ''1 True, 2 Lies'' trying to raise awareness of how much harm humans do to animals. As a result, we managed to collect some pet food which we brought to a nearby Animal Shelter. The stuff was thankful. We were over the moon that we helped the animals.

Sometimes we might forget that our family members also need help. So we tried to help our parents do some chores such as vacuum cleaning or loading the dish-washer. It was fun!

Firstly, our pupils announced our project to other classes from middle school, primary school and high school.

Our project was held together with Math team and Güç Bende Club of our school. At the end of the our act we raised money for our kid victims of earthquake. 

Then we packed together; our toys, colorful pencils, story books and notebooks for our friends

We started an Animal Campaign; students fed the street animals to encourage other friends.              

 The pupils made summer houses for the street cats at school. Now we are ready for adoption street cat for our school!

Activity 2. We took part in the Spelling Bee Competition on 5th May 2023 and we suggested the organizers that each participant brings food for animals in Animal shelter in Osijek, so since  Madia and Marko were participants in the competition they donated the food that we as a team collected

Activity 3- LETTERS OF HOPE FOR VICTIMS IN TURKEY

Our team encouraged our whole school and all of my students(around 100) to write letters of support and hope for children, people and teacher in Turkey who were struck by a terrible earthquake.
