It was a clear sunny day outside but Mia had to stay inside doing sticky dishes while her little triplet brothers could play all day. Mia was far too excited to be sad! She and her best friend Samantha got invited to an investigation site, where an elderly lady named Sarah said they could go to the rainforest. She said she would verify with the owner and call us today! It took ages, and the dishes seemed never-ending, but then, Sarah called!

“Hi, Mia and Samantha,” Sarah said

“Hi!” Mia said

“You both have been chosen to investigate the rainforest! !” Sarah said.

“When do we leave?” Mia asked.

“Tomorrow morning at eight,” Sarah said as she hung up.

Mia and Samantha were super excited!

Honk Honk! “Samantha, look it's Sarah!” Mia yelped. 

“Hi girls!” Sarah said.

“Bye, mom! Bye, Dad!" Samantha exclaimed. When they reached the rainforest, an elderly scientist began to speak super fast. All the elders seemed to understand. Mia and Samantha busily watched two adorable little monkeys jump from branch to branch.  

“Samantha!” Mia yelled. 

“What?” asked Samantha

“Where did the elders go!?” shrieked Mia

Samantha and Mia looked around for any sign of the elders. It was no use. They were lost.

     “Ugh, the rainforest phone Sarah gave us is no use!” Samantha cried.

      “Sam, come see this,” Mia said, voice full of worry, “the poor bird is hurt!”

       A beautiful bird was lying on the ground, you could see the cut on its beautiful blue and white feathers. "The bird's face looks like my sister's face when she doesn't get what she wanted," Samantha said laughing at the memory.

“Sam we are lost, and we have this bird that needs help, get serious!” Mia said.

“Mia, we have no choice.” Samantha looked sad “ We have no food and no water, we have to go deeper into the woods.”
“I guess.” Mia sighed

“I will look for healing plants to heal the bird while you look for a place with phone service,” Samantha said.

“Are you crazy? You want to split up?” Mia cried

“There’s no other choice,” Samantha said walking away.

“Sam” MIa cried. Mia set out into the monster of trees.

After 2 hours of searching, they met up together again.
