What a Sore Sight!
The garbage in the photo has been formed into a sad/angry face. We need to stop throwing away all this rubbish... it ruins a pleasant walk in nature!

Save Our Trees!
Trees have been with us throughout our lives. They are the background of our favourite memories. Trees hold tremendous power including the power of making our lives healthy and better.
The food-making process of trees involves absorbing carbon dioxide from the air coming from exhausts and fumes, and storing it in the wood. Trees, like plants, will store this carbon dioxide, helping to slow down the greenhouse build-up in our atmosphere, that has been warming our planet.
Although the internet should have helped in reducing paper wastage and deforestation, paper production is adding further pressure on the world forests, that are already at risk. In future, I am sure that is going to get worse. In fact, during these past twenty-three years, more than three million square kilometers were lost.
In my opinion, we can save the trees by using less paper. For example, we should make it a must that who ever is going to print, he/she must print on both sides. I think also that we should persist in using recycled paper to conserve our natural resources, save energy and therefore reduce greenhouse gas emissions. If we use 1 ton of recycled paper, we will be able to save approximately 17 trees.

Trees are Slowly Fading Away
In a world where green and open spaces are already limited, we are still opting to destroy unspoiled land to continue urban development. Fertile soil and healthy trees are being replaced by concrete and buildings. Having so many properties which are abandoned, the solution, although not straightforward, is not impossible. Rather than uprooting trees and destroying whole ecosystems, abandoned buildings, factories and other premises can be rebuilt or refurbished to accommodate new projects and house industrial as well as residential units. As the leader of the initiative ‘Journey To Save Soil' Sadhguru said, ‘Trees Are Our Closest Relatives. What trees exhale we inhale. What trees inhale we exhale. They Are Half Our Respiratory System.’
Pembroke, Malta. Site where tens of trees have been recently uprooted to make way for a new foreign embassy.

How can we have fresh and local fruit and vegetables when we keep destroying our fields with buildings?

Is it Too Late to Reboot?
The environment is being ruined by people and their selfishness. They are suffocating the existence of nature. In my opinion it is too late now for the planet to restart and reboot.

Littering in Public Parks
This is Ġnien il-Ħaddiem ( a park ) in Dingli. In the first picture top left, behind the swings, one can note a trash can. One can see as well a hole that is enclosed by Heritage Malta. In the second and third picture it is evident that people are still throwing away trash in the hole. People are littering in the hole when there is clearly a bin behind them! People are littering too much!

Environmental Issues
Nowadays we are faced with several environmental issues such as pollution, overpopulation, waste disposal, climate change, global warming and the Greenhouse effect problems, among others. This is all because we humans do not take care of our environment and prefer ‘progression’. I am going to address the topic of trees.
Here are some benefits of trees. Trees and shrubs improve soil and water conservation. They store carbon and give moderate local climate by providing shade, they regulate temperature extremes, increase wildlife habitat and improve the land’s capacity to adopt to climate change.
