Whose sunset is that? I think that I know.
I can tell that it’s you because the way that you glow 

Full of joy just like a colorful rainbow,
I see you light up the sky as I watch you from below

The sunset is bright, pretty and deep,
but you always show up even when I weep,

After a long day of watching over me,
Sweet dreams come to us both so we can finally get some sleep

But You are not always a sunset,

You change how you visit me

You send me signs that show me you are happy and free

Sometimes youre in the whites of the waves 

Or the sand between my toes 

You might even be the petal on the flower that I bring up to by nose 

Sometimes I see you in white feathers, 

Other times you are the tree that I lean on  

When I think about you in the sky 

I feel better that you are not really gone.

Sometimes You are the penny facing up on the street 

Then you are the freshly cut grass that are under my feet 

I hope that you’ll visit me when I close my eyes to sleep 

Then my dreams just remind me of that you weren’t mine to keep 

They needed you back up there among the clouds and stars 

It was your time to go back but I know you are not that far 

You have just gone away from here but in short amount of time 

I know I will be with you again when I have reached the top of my climb 

I can’t wait until we will be able to hug, laugh and love 

And I will sit next to you in the fluffy clouds above 

Even though you are not here right by my side 

There are things on the earth that you have sent to be my guide 

From sunsets, to feathers, to the wind on my face

To the birds that sing and the clouds that I chase 

Sometimes I hear your voice and remember your touch 

I just wish I could tell you again that “I love you so much”

I’ll watch you in the sunsets as the days come to an end 

Without you here with us but I know that you will send
