Once upon a timeThere was a little Leprechaun
He was standing in front of a little door
It was a green door
It was green like his long hat
His tiny jacket
And his fancy belt

The Little Leprechaun was standingIn front of the green door
Because he was hungry and thirsty
And he didn't have even a penny in the little pocket
Of his large green pants
To buy himself a nice sandwich
With large eggs and salty bacon
Which were his favorites
5

6

He hoped that he could findA nice person in this world
To feed him!
7

8

He knocked loudly at the doorIt was a green door
A tiny green door
A tiny old, grumpy woman
With small green eyes
Opened the green door and said:
"Good day, Leprechaun!
What do you want at this hour?
Can't you see I'm old and tired?"
9

The Little Leprechaun said:"I'm hungry and thirsty, Old Lady!
Would you have a small sandwich
With large eggs and salty bacon for me?
If you feed me, you'll receive
3 pieces of gold from my treasury!"

11

The Old grumpy LadyWho didn't like either leprechauns
Or salty bacon and eggs
Slammed the tiny green door saying:
"I don't want any of your money Leprechaun!
No treasure can buy me
Youth, health and happiness!
And that's all I need in this world!"
12

13

The Little LeprechaunWas really hungry and frustrated
And started to cry so loudly
That the yellow door of the neighbor
Opened suddenly!
14

15

A middle aged womanOpened the door
She had long, very long, black silky hair
And tiny, very tiny, green eyes
She was wearing a long, very long, silky white dress
She grinned at him
But when she saw the ugly Little Leprechaun
Her eyes grew bigger
And now she was smirking at him!
16

"What are you doing here, standing at my yellow door,
You ugly Leprechaun?
Don't you see, I'm waiting for my hero
To save me from my loneliness?
I have no time for you!"

17

The Little Leprechaun scratched his long red beardLost in thoughts
He replied:
"Of course, my Lady, I'm not the One you're looking for!
But please help me and for your kindness you'll be rewarded a thousand times!
Rich you'll become and prized to all suitors
Knocking on your door and asking for your hand
No dowry will be necessary!"
18
The woman, impatient and angry, slammed the door on him!

Surprised and saddenedAnd with no time
To finish what he was saying,
The hungry and thirsty Little Leprechaun
Started walking away alone
He felt that his life was heavy,
As heavy as a fallen log in a dark forest!
20

21

He passed a half-open, big blue doorIt gave him some courage to ask for food and drink
A young girl was playing with her dolls in the hallway
She had curly brown hair and tiny blue eyes
She blinked, intrigued:
"Hey, are you a Leprechaun?
A real one?"
She tried to approach him
