Abbe Sieyes was a clergyman and a political writer of the french revolution. He also famously said that the third estate was the true heart and political will of the country.

The Storming of the Bastille was an important part of the start of the french revolution. Crowds of peasants stormed the prison and many got killed.     

is for CONTINENTAL SYSTEM

The Continental system was an act by Napoleon trying to cut any type of trade from Europe to England. One of his biggest mistakes.

The French Directory came after Robespierre, it was unsuccessful to return the order. However, they were able to make jobs out of the wars.

The Flight of Varennes was an attempt by the royal family to escape France. They were unsuccessful and got caught, and became prisoners.

The Great Fear was around the start of the revolution, many peasants were scared of a retaliation by the nobles and King. So, the National Assembly  took away the titles and power of nobility and the clergy.

The Hundred Days, was a period of time where Napoleon came back. He pranced around France trying to get support and rise up, but he was caught again, and sent to a different island.

Due to the rising crop yields, plus the growth of cities, as well as less community controls, more children were being born and left at orphanages.

King of France before the French Revolution. He had wanted to tax the country which caused trouble within the estates. He got his head cut off!

The Legislative Assembly was created by the National Assembly and it was more radical. Making the Civil Constitution of the Clergy. Which allowed for a religion but the Pope was tied up.

Wrote the "A Vindication of the Rights of Woman" supporting education for women. She was also a huge supporter of the French Revolution.

is for NAPOLEON BONAPARTE

Napoleon Bonaparte rose in fame as a military commander.

With his victories he was recognized as a leader who brought peace and stability, which he later took advantage of and took all the power for himself. He was defeated and sent into a small island.

is for OLYMPE DE GOUGES

Olympe de gouges was a radical feminist in the french revolution. She fought for women's equality, sadly she was sent to the guillotine. 

is for PARIS

Paris was part of the Jacobins and had major events in the French Revolution like creating the Estates General, storming of the Bastille, and the National Constituent Assembly. Famous quote "When Paris sneezes, Europe catches a cold." shows the power of Paris's influence.
