I hope this book on photosynthesis helps you understand the wonderful world of plants. Its amazing how these green beings use the sun's energy to make their food and keep our planet full of oxygen. I hope you enjoy learning about the complex process of photosynthesis and how it helps all life on Earth.
Remember, just like a plant needs light, water and carbon dioxide to make food, you need to take care of yourself by eating well, staying hydrated and getting enough sleep. And don't forget to go outside and enjoy the sun.

Once upon a time, there lived a small girl named Amanda in a very small village. Clueless about a lot of things but always eager to learn about new things. Amanda's mother owned a garden at the back of the house, it had a lot of beautiful flowers, delicious fruits and vegetables. Amanda's mother always watered the garden early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Amanda didn't understand how a simple seed could grow into a delicious fruit or turn into a beautiful flower.
One day, Amanda decided to go on a little exploration or rather an investigation, she put on her coat and began to ask her mother questions about how a seed can turn into a flower. Unfortunately her mother didn't have the correct knowledge her response was vague, all she said was "Amanda my child, water and sunlight helps my crops to grow and my garden to blossom" even though that sounded like enough information she still wanted to lean more.
She continued to investigate the next day at school, she went to her Natural Sciences teacher and asked how a simple seed can turn into a beautiful flower or delicious fruits and vegetables.

Her educated teacher said to her "well Amanda that is a beautiful question, thee is something called photosynthesis and that is the process by which plants use energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen". Amanda was stunned to learn about the new words "photosynthesis and glucose" those are words she has never heard before and she didn't understand them .
Her teacher then made it easier for her to understand she said "let's use a real life example of photosynthesis: the process of a plant making its own food. Imagine a plant, such as a sunflower in the sunlight. The light energy from the sun is absorbed by the chlorophyll in the leaves of the plant.
This light energy is used to convert water from the soil into oxygen gas, which is released into the air. The light energy is also used to convert carbon dioxide from the air into glucose, which is a type of sugar that the plant uses for energy".

Amanda was so happy she learned new words and also happy to finally understand how plants can make their own food and keep themselves alive. With all the new information that she has learned she will be able to educate her mother about the process of living in plants.
