To the curious and inquisitive young minds of the world, this book is dedicated to you. May you always ask questions, seek answers, and explore the world around you with wonder and awe. May your thirst for knowledge be unquenchable, and may you always find joy in learning about the amazing world of photosynthesis. Never stop asking 'why'!

Mrs. Smith, Mr. Smith, and their darling daughter Agnes resided at the Smith family home. Agnes heard older learners at her school discussing the term "photosynthesis" one day, which caught her interest as well.

"Mommy, how does photosynthesis work?" Agnes asks Mrs. Smith.
Mrs. Smith replied, "Well, photosynthesis is the method by which plants use light; photo means light, synth means produce, and osis means the process. In summary, it refers to the process of producing and using light".

"Let me tell you a story about the world on the leaf," she said. The residents of a town named Chloroplast were known as Chlorophyll, and their duty was to absorb light.

Missy and Chichi were two of the greatest friends in the leaf world; Missy represented the light reaction, and Chichi represented the dark reaction. Although Missy and Chichi lived in different towns—Thylakoid for Missy and Stroma for Chichi—they weren't too far away.

"Missy and Chichi were best friends but they had very different jobs" explained Mrs. Smith. "Missy's job needed her to gather sunlight and water, she would then break them down in a machine called the 'Photolysis', this machine broke down the water and sunlight and turned it into Electrons, Oxygen, and Hydrogen Ions"
"Missy's house ran on sunlight energy to power the electrons which then she sent to Chichi through something called a 'electron transport chain' for Chichi to use in her job"
"The 'electron transport chain' builds energy carrying molecules 'ATP' and 'NADPH' those contain energy used to fuel part of Chichi's job. Chichi's Job was to take carbon out of the air with a tool called 'carbon fixation' she then took the carbon and added it to the 'Calvin cycle' which was fuelled but the 'ATP' and 'NADPH' the Calvin Cycle then creates Glucose which Then provides energy and food for the plants, and oxygen for humans! this process has an equation 'Carbon Dioxide-Water-Sunlight->Glucose-Oxygen' and that's how photosynthesis works!"
