Once upon a time, as all stories start, there was an angel.
This angel was very sad because she had recently been banished from the angel kingdom. Now, dear Readers, please sit back, and watch this story progress through this little angel's eyes........
Seraphina stumbled through the woods, breathing heavily. Her footsteps echoed through the mist, and she stopped, panting. She wiped the sweat off her face and took a deep breath. "If only I were still an angel." A low growl sounded from the bush, and Seraphina whirled around, pulling a knife from her belt. "Who's there?" she said, her voice trembling. The growl came again, this time louder. A shape could be seen, with huge black paws and red ears. Seraphina held back a scream and made her way to a nearby tree. She reached up and grasped hold of a branch, pulling herself up. The shape hurtled into the clearing and started sniffing on the ground.
The animal looked up, and Seraphina stared into a panther's eyes. "This can't be happening," she murmured, hurriedly covering her mouth. The panther growled, and Seraphina's eyes widened. The panther crouched and leaped, soaring high into the sky and landing, with a thump, in front of her. Seraphina scrambled back, wishing for the powers that she had when she was an angel. The panther closed in, and Seraphina held the knife before herself, but the panther just knocked it away. "Don't play with knives, little girl," the panther said, knocking her to the ground with one of their big paws. Seraphina yelped and tried to move away, but the panther held her fast. The panther's claws pierced her skin, and she felt blood bubbling, soaking
Her clothes. The panther relaxed his claws but kept a firm hold on her chest. Seraphina glanced around, eyes wide, searching for anything she could use to escape. "Don't try to run away; I'll just kill you." the panther smirked, flexing his claws with his spare paw. "Who are you?" Seraphina asked. The panther looked down at her. "Why would I tell you my name?" he said. Seraphina raised an eyebrow, and the panther sighed. "They call me Shadow; I'm an assassin......" Seraphina stared at him. "You weren't very quiet trying to capture me," she said, lowering her voice. "in fact, I might have managed to get away from you if you had a worse nose." The panther growled."What's that supposed to mean?" he asked. "it means I've distracted you long enough."
The pantehr whipped his head around, seeing nobody, he turned back, only to find Seraphina gone, and under his paw, her backpack.
