




Stratford-upon-Avon
A statue was also created in 1888, the work of Lord Ronald Gower. This is situated in Stratford's Bancroft Gardens. The monument shows Shakespeare seated on a pedestal, surrounded, at ground level, by statues of Hamlet, Lady Macbeth, Prince Hal, and Falstaff. These characters were intended to be emblematic of Shakespeare's creative versatility: representing Philosophy, Tragedy, History, and Comedy

Memorial to William Shakespeare is located inside Holy Trinity Church at Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, the church in which Shakespeare was baptised and where he was buried in the chancel two days after his death.

A bust of Shakespeare in the St. Mary Aldermanbury Garden, London (though depicting Shakespeare, this is actually a memorial to John Heminge and Henry Condell, editors of the First Folio)


The life-size white marble statue, shown in the dress of his period and wearing a cloak, was erected by the 3rd Earl of Burlington. The carved heads of Queen Elizabeth I, Henry V and Richard III appear on the base of a pedestal.The is figure about 5 feet 6 inches in height.


Scotland

Coade stone statue of which advocate and writer Lord Henry Cockburn installed in the garden at Bonaly Tower, Edinburgh. It is in a curved recess in the boundary wall at west end of garden. It came from the Theatre Royal at Shakespeare Square at the east end of Princes Street in 1860.
