Μια φορά κι έναν καιρό ήταν ένα κοριτσάκι που ζούσε στο Κλειδί Ημαθίας, ένα χωριό που είναι στην Ελλάδα. Αυτό το κοριτσάκι ήταν συνέχεια λυπημένο, επειδή δεν είχε φίλους. Της άρεσαν πάρα πολύ τα λουλούδια. Μια μέρα ένα αγοράκι που ήταν κι αυτό λυπημένο πέρασε από το σπίτι της και είδε το κοριτσάκι στην αυλή να κόβει λυπημένο παπαρούνες. Της ζήτησε να γίνουν φίλοι και εκείνο δέχτηκε. Όμως συνέχιζαν να είναι λυπημένοι! Έπρεπε να κάνουν κάτι για να βρουν τη Χαρά...

 Once upon a time there was a little girl who lived in Kleidi of Imathia, a village in Greece. This little girl was always sad because she had no friends. She liked flowers very much. One day a little boy who was also sad passed by her house and saw the little girl in the yard sadly cutting poppies. He asked her to be friends and she accepted. But they continued to be sad! They had to do something to find Happiness..

Mutluluk nerede? Onu gökyüzündeki yıldızların arasında aramaya karar verdiler.Karpenisiotis nehrinin kenarında rengarenk yıldızları seyre daldılar. Hayır orada da değildi 

Where ıs happıness? They decıded to look for ıt among stars ın the sky. By the rıver Karpenısıotıs, they gazed at colorful stars. No ıt's not there.

El cielo estrellado les recordó que conocían un sitio en Palomares del Río (España), con un techo lleno de estrellas, así que decidieron ir a los baños árabes a buscarla. Allí tampoco la encontraron pero había un montón de flores y decidieron coger una. Al cogerla apareció una mariposa y les preguntó qué hacían allí. Ellos le dijeron que venían desde muy lejos buscando la felicidad pero estaban teniendo dificultades para encontrarla. La mariposa les dijo que, probablemente, buscando más amigos podrían encontrarla.

The starry sky reminded them of a place in Palomares del Río (Spain), the star-filled vault of Arabian baths. When they arrived there, they didn’t find happiness anywhere. However, that place was full of flowers so they spent some time taking pleasure in them. The girl decided to take one flower and suddenly, a butterfly appeared. The butterfly asked what were they doing so far from home. They told her that they were struggling to find happiness. The butterfly said:

- If you look for more friends you will probably find it.

Yıldızlı gökyüzüne bakıyor, nasıl bir arkadaş istediklerini düşünüyorlardı. Onları mutlu edecek arkadaş nasıl olmalıydı, hangi özellikleri onları mutlu ederdi. Bu düşüncelerle ilerlemeye devam ettiler)

Μια μέρα το κοριτσάκι σκέφτηκε να πάνε στο σχολείο της γειτονιάς , που είναι δίπλα σε ένα πάρκο με πολλά παιχνίδια και να ψάξουν για καινούριους φίλους. -Ίσως αυτή η ιδέα να μας δώσει χαρά και ευτυχία .  Είπε στην πεταλούδα.

-Νομίζω πως βρήκα την λύση!  Είπε.

Η πεταλούδα συμφώνησε και ακολούθησε τα παιδιά . 

One day the little girl decided to go to the neighborhood school, which is next to a park with lots of toys, and look for new friends. -Maybe this idea will give us joy and happiness. She said to the butterfly.

- I think I found the solution! 

The butterfly agreed and followed the children.-

Τα δύο παιδιά σκέφτηκαν να καθίσουν στις κούνιες και να καλέσουν μερικά ακόμη παιδιά για να παίξουν μαζί. Η πεταλούδα ζουζουνίζοντας τριγύρισε σε όλο το πάρκο και έψαξε φίλους για το αγόρι και το κορίτσι και ρωτούσε κάθε παιδί που έβρισκε: -Μήπως θέλεις παρέα; Κάποια παιδιά απάντησαν όχι και κάποια ναι. Η πεταλούδα τότε μάζεψε όλα τα παιδιά που έψαχναν φίλους και τα πήγε στο αγόρι και στο κορίτσι.

The two children thought that it would be a good idea to sit on the swings and invite some more children to play together. The butterfly buzzing went around the park 

and searched for friends for the boy and the girl asking every child she met: -Would you like some friends?

Some children answered yes and some no. The butterfly then gathered around her all the children that wanted friends and went to the boy and the girl.

- Κοιτάξτε, τους είπε. Να οι καινούριοι σας φίλοι!

Το αγόρι και το κορίτσι χάρηκαν πολύ, γνωρίστηκαν με τα παιδιά και άρχισαν να παίζουν. Στην αρχή κρυφτό, μετά κυνηγητό, κουτσό, τραμπάλα και ό,τι παιχνίδι ήθελαν. Έπαιζαν μαζί ως το σούρουπο. Κατάκοποι αποχαιρετήθηκαν, έδωσαν υπόσχεση να ξαναβρεθούν και την άλλη μέρα και επέστρεψαν χαρούμενα στα σπίτια τους.

-Look, she told them. These are your new friends!

The boy and the girl were very happy. They got acquainted with the other children and began playing. At first they played hide-and-seek, then chase, hopscotch, seesaw and whatever they wanted. They played together until sunset. Very tired they said goodbye to each other, they made a promise to meet again and went back to their homes full of joy and happiness.
