Sharks are some fascinating creatures. These fish are really helpful, because they keep the ocean nice and clean. Sadly, the population of sharks is going down for fins, meat, and oil. A famous recipe with sharks is called Shark Fin Soup. Sharks are cold-blooded, which means that their body temperature matches its surroundings, keeping it warm. There are about 400 different species of sharks. Bull sharks, great white sharks, and tiger sharks are man-eaters, and the most dangerous sharks to humans. Sharks eat seals, sea lions, turtles, dolphins and fish.

Sharks don’t have hands, so they use their fins to interact with other stuff. Sharks don’t get cancer, which is really lucky. The fish that stick to a shark are called Ramonas. Some fish clean a shark’s teeth, which helps the shark’s teeth stay clean. Sharks are carnivores, so they eat only meat. A shark’s only predator is a killer whale, or orca. Orcas hunt in pods, so they find many ways you outsmart them. Orcas only hunt the shark for its liver. 

Sharks can eat anything, and some sharks are nocturnal, which means they hunt at nighttime instead of daytime. Sharks like the lemon shark and the hammerhead sharks like to hunt in shallow waters next to beaches. Some sharks like the Northern River Shark, and the bull shark live in fresh water. Bull sharks can actually live in both salt water and fresh water. Some sharks like to camouflage in the sand, like the angel shark, and sometimes the nurse shark.

When a shark poops, the poop becomes food for the fish. Then, since the poop has nutrients, so the female fish produce eggs. The tiger shark is the only shark that gives live birth, and the African lung fish is the only fish with lungs.The 7 gilled shark is a little rare, but the 6 gilled shark is even more rare. The whale shark and basking shark are both gentle giants. Another gentle giant is the megamouth shark, which is really big.

Sharks are not dangerous at all. The only reason shark attacks occur is because sharks mistake a human for a tasty seal. When prey comes close, the goblin shark stretches out its mouth up-to 4 to 7 feet long. Goblin sharks live in the midnight zone, which is a place where no sunlight is seen. Goblin sharks are known to be called the living fossils, because they have been on earth 300 million years ago. That is way older than dinosaurs. Al, sharks have gills, which helps them breath under water.

Sharks help the population of the fish and other animals in balance. Believe it or not, people hunt sharks for there for no reason. Shark fin soup is tasteless, so sharks are being hunted for no reason. Since the mid-1950 people have attempted to put great white sharks in aquariums, because they either died, they were released back in to the ocean, or they kept killing the other fish. The biggest and scariest shark to ever live was the megalodon.

The bamboo shark is 3 to 4 feet long, and kind of looks like the zebra shark. This shark has a few predators, like other sharks or different animals. Tiger sharks are definitely not the most friendly shark, but bamboo sharks are friendly. In aquariums, people put bamboo sharks in a tiny pool where you can pet them. They usually just eat fish or crabs, so they can be really friendly to humans.
