"It's SO hot," Milly whined as we saw the pyramid, but I couldn't be mad at her for complaining, because I felt the same way, I felt like we were being cooked on a barbeque.
"It's the Pyramid Giza!" Angel screamed in excitement, "I read about it in the library." We gaze at the pyramid for some time until, I realised the time, "Oh no! We're going to be late for the party," I cried, so we rushed into the small town.

We dashed through the town until we found the entrance to the party, "Your invitation?" Questioned the lady at the door,
"Here they are," I replied as Angel showed her the invitation,
"Welcome, you are just in time," she said, and we entered the building. Angel was excited, I could tell by the expression on her face, the only reason we got invited to this party is because of her. She won the prize for the most A's in the school and got a free trip to Egypt, as well as an invitation to a party. Angel was allowed to bring two friends along with her. But the thing she kept talking about when she won the prize was the Rossetta Stone, it was going to be on display at the party.
The house looked very modern and was very bright. The lights shined in my face, blinding me until my eyes could adjust, a maid came up to us with a tray full of drinks and asked,
"Would you girls like a drink?" Without time to answer her question Milly replied,
"Yes please," and took three glasses of lemonade.

"Look," said Angel, "The Rossetta Stone," she looked at it in amazement, as she slowly walked towards it. Then everything became pitch black!
"Julia, wake up," said a voice, it sounded like Angel,
"But I am awake," I thought, then without realising, I opened my eyes to see Milly on my right, and Angel on the left. Milly was fast asleep, and Angel was looking at me in shock. We weren't at the party anymore.
"Where are we?" I asked, I looked up, we were somewhere outside, since the stars were out,
"We are in a desert in the middle of nowhere!" Groaned Angel, just at that point I realised we were tied up with a rope. Angel looked terrified, but I couldn't blame her, because I was as well. I was afraid of the predators, roaming around, I was afraid of dying out in the middle of nowhere, lost and forgotten.

The sky was full of stars, there were so many constellations, I could even see Orion's Belt. It felt like I was in a dream, not a good dream, or a bad. It was like a dream come true, but at the same time, a nightmare.

"What are we going to do?" Angel questioned,
"Well first we have to wake up Milly, then we have to find a way out of here." I answered, so I shouted in Milly's ear,
"WAKE UP!"
"AHHHHH! Julia, that was so loud!" She replied back to me, the first step was done, now to get out here.
"Does anyone have a knife?" I asked, we could use one to cut the rope. Night was disappearing, as light was starting to take over.
"What kind of question is that?" Replied Angel, "And to answer your question, no. Why would I carry a knife with me?"
"I don't have one either," Milly said sadly, as if she knew why I asked if anyone had a knife. Then, I had an idea, we just had to stand up at the same time, then walk in time.

So, I told them my idea,
"That could work," said Angel, "But, we need some sort of rhythm, so we don't fall over."
So, we stood up and walked.
"One, two, one, two," we chanted as we walked through the desert. While we were walking, I saw a cactus,
"Let's go to that cactus, it's spikes could cut the rope," I told Angel and Milly,
"Good idea, let's do it," Angel responded. We walk slowly towards the cactus, and Angel rubbed the rope against the cactus.

Snap! Finally, we were free.
"We should have a break before continuing, it would be the best thing to do since we don't have water," said Angel, Milly sat straight on the ground, while me and Angel slowly sat on the dry sand. When I sat on the sand, I saw something in the distance, the thing looked as if it was coming towards us,
"What's that?" I questioned with worry; I wasn't trying to sound worried, but it just came out that way.
"It looks like, people!" Milly's voice started off confused, then she became really excited. I wasn't happy about that; I was worried they would be bad people. I couldn't trust some random strangers, not after us being thrown into the middle of a desert.

They got closer and closer, and we got worried. It was strange that they were coming towards us since they were over a mile away when we saw them. A couple of minutes later, they arrived next to us, they had a worried face expression. They were both girls, who were most probably older than us, and were also taller. They both had blue eyes, but their eyes didn't look normal. One of them held a bag.
"We were looking for you three," exclaimed the one with the bag.
"HUH?" I thought, why would they be looking for us? She opened the bag and threw some clothes at us, so we put them on, and Milly tied her hair in a ponytail.

"Follow us," said the girl with the yellow shirt, so we cautiously followed. Light was fading, it wasn't long until it would be night again. I felt like face planting in the sand, and I don't think I was the only one. I was exhausted. A day without water and stuck in the middle of a desert.
"We'll rest here for the night, would you girls like any water," asked the girl with the yellow shirt,
"Yes please," Me, Milly and Angle responded, we were dying for water. Milly ran to them; she must have been really thirsty.

Me, Angel and Milly went to sleep on the sand, but it wasn't very comfortable. The sand kept on falling under us and rest our heads on our hands. However, when Angel and Milly had fallen asleep, I heard one of the girls say,
"We have to get to Pyramid Giza by tomorrow, Zarina," I think that it was the one with the yellow shirt who said that, but I couldn't tell because they were whispering,
"I know Amara, we have to get the Rossetta Stone back!" Reveled Zarina, I think Amara was the one with the yellow shirt, and Zarina was the one with the bag. Then I accidently coughed, which was a sign that I was awake.
"Julia, we know you're awake," said one of the girls. It scared me, as I never told them my name,
"We know you have been awake for a while and heard everything we said." I was doomed! I didn't know what to do. So, I sat there pretending I was sleeping.

Zarina and Amara woke us early, it was still night.
"Where are we going?" Milly asked, but they didn't answer. They hurried though the desert and we rushed with them.
"Here we are," declared Zarina, "Pyramid Giza." The sun was starting to rise. However, the question was, why are we at Pyramid Giza?

"Is that a giant rat climbing the pyramid?" Milly asked the two girls.
"Come on, we have to go inside Pyramid Giza," announced Amara, so we followed them into the pyramid. In the pyramid, there was a wooden pathway, that was made of wooden planks. The walls looked as if they were made of stone bricks. Crash! Something further in the pyramid had crashed.
"What was that?" We questioned Amara and Zarina. Their face expressions were very concerned,
"Come on, we have to keep going," Amara answered
"Not until you tell us what's going on," I said sternly. It was time for some answers.
"You know how we were looking for you in the desert," asked Zarina,
"Yes," I replied
"Well," said Amara, "We know who threw you out into the middle of the desert."

"Who?" I asked,
"It was the maid, only, that was her disguised because she is truly evil, and she stole the Rossetta Stone!" Amara exclaimed,
"Noooo," Angel wailed,
"Yes, and it's here in this pyramid," Zarina declared.
"Then why were you looking for us?" Milly investigated,
"We couldn't just leave you to die in the middle of a desert," Amara replied. It made much more sense now why they were in the desert like we were.
"What are your names?" Angel asked,
"I'm Amara and this is Zarina." Amara answered (Amara was the one with the yellow shirt). "You ready to go get the Rossetta stone?" She added, so we followed her and Zarina to retrieve the Rossetta Stone and put it back in its rightful place.

We found an entrance that led to a cave,
"We need to think of an escape plan," boomed a voice, it sounded like the maid.
I had a little peak into the cave, and saw the maid, with three others who looked evil, and a girl, who looked very worried.
"That's our friend, Autumn," whispered Amara.
