Year: 2017
Set: On a boat
Book Type: Fiction
This book is based on "Jurassic World"

This book was made for my younger brother, Ilias.

We sailed across the ocean. With nothing but water in sight. We were sailing somewhere unknown, somewhere that no one knows. The reason I'm on this boat is because I won a ticket for a free boat ride to go to a mystery island (I don't know how I won this ticket, but it was all over the news and it came in the mail).

It had been five days with no land in sight until, there was this bay, not so far away. As we got closer to the bay, I saw that there were no waves, and the water was crystal clear.
As we got to shore, we got off the boat while the sunset on the horizon.
"Welcome campers!" exclaimed one of the camp leaders as we got off the boat.
"This is Camp Cretaceous at the one and only Jurassic Park," said the other. It seemed pretty cool. There were two camp leaders, a girl and a boy. The girl had straight brown hair and blue eyes, while the boy had light blonde hair with brown eyes. "Follow us to your camp!" exclaimed the camp leaders as they started to walk into the jungle
As we walked through the jungle, I began to realise that it was awfully quiet, too quiet for a jungle. Usually, jungles have birds chirping and animals all about, but there was no animal in sight. The only thing I could hear was the pattering of footsteps along the hard, muddy ground.
"Okay campers, it is time for a small break while we wait for the cars to come," declared a camp leader.

About 3 hours later, the cars had finally arrived! They took so long that it was already dark.
"Took them long enough!" I thought, we had to sit out in the rain for an hour! All I wanted was to be somewhere dry.
"Okay campers! At least two of you in each car," exclaimed the camp leaders. There were only three cars, so we didn't really have a choice of being alone (since the camp leaders would have to sit in one as well).
As the night continued, we drove for what seemed like hours! But we just kept on driving. The drive was so long, the road seemed never ending,
"Is this some kind of trick?" I wondered. SCREECH! Went the brakes of the cars as they stopped. They stopped so fast, it felt quicker than the speed of light.
"Hey, what's the hold up!" shouted the camp leaders from the car behind,
"A dinosaur just jumped right onto the road!" replied back the driver of the car I was in.
"A dinosaur???" I questioned myself as the driver got out of the car.

"Shoo! Get off the road!" The driver screamed at the dinosaur. I was disappointed to see a dinosaur treated this way (this was because I was a huge dinosaur fan)!
"I don't think that's a good idea," I nervously declared to the driver as I stuck my head out of the car window. Just as the camp leaders got out of the car at the very back, the dinosaur whacked its tail against the driver's leg.
"Of course!" I thought, "Stegosauruses use their tails to defend themselves!" The driver laid on the ground, unable to move. The camp leaders ran up to the car I was in,
"Okay distract the stegosaurus, and I'll get him." They agreed as one of the camp leaders (The girl one), walked slowly towards the car. While the other, shone a torch onto the stegosaurus' eye. Then, the camp leader ran quickly to the driver and dragged him over to the car.
The other camp leader got out his walkie talkie and started speaking into it. I couldn't quite hear what he was saying because the other drivers were talking to the girl camp leader and the others who had gotten into Camp Cretaceous were talking nonstop and were getting out of the cars. So, I got out of the car. When I got out of the car, I heard a static sound coming from the walkie talkie. No one had replied back to the emergency message that the camp leader sent. As I watched and listened, I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around to see who it was and found a girl standing next to me looking right at me! She had blonde hair, tied up in a ponytail, with light brown eyes, and a pink shirt with sparkles at the top (It looked exactly like my shirt, except mine was purple).
"Excuse me," she said, "Are you going to help or just keep on staring into nowhere!" That was not what I expected her to say, I thought she would have
said "What are you looking at?" or "What are you doing?" instead of that!
"Do you need any help?" I replied trying to be polite, but she looked like the type of girl that was not nice or friendly, one of those girls who were stuck up
"Of course I don't!" she screamed at me, "SHE DOES!" She pointed to the camp leader that was trying to help the driver,
"What does she need help with?" I asked, but she never replied back. I think she just wanted to make me look bad for doing nothing, but there was really nothing someone like me could do to help with serious injuries.
"I wonder if help will ever come?" I just kept wondering if help would ever come until...THUMP! Everyone went silent as the thumping noise disappeared. The suspense grew, as everyone stayed silent. My curiosity could not hold any longer, I was going to EXPLODE! THUMP! I came again, but this time, it was louder.
