It all started a December day. I was in my house with 

my friend Kathryn. The house was decorated for 

christmas. Look I told Kathryn, there are our christmas 

stockings. We went to see them. We put our head 

inside the stockings just to see if there was something 

in there. Suddenly I felt cold, I closed my eyes and 

shivered. When I opened my eyes again, I was in a 

snowy place, a beautiful place with mountains. Kathryn 

was beside me. What is this place? She asked. I have 

no clue. I answered. OK lets go to explore this place. 

We both agreed and the adventure begun.

We were surrounded by people skiing. WOW I said. This place is 

amazing but how did we got here? I don't know Kathryn said. The 

stockings should be magic, they took us here. We kept on 

walking. Luckily we are wearing boots, I told Kathryn. Yeah she 

answered. If not we will be freezing. We kept on going suddenly on top 

of a hill we saw a hotel. Let's go in Kathryn said. Are you sure? I asked. 

What if we need to pay? No relax, let's try. We got closer the hotel, 

went up some stairs and arrived at the door. We went in and a men 

recieved us. Hello and welcome to the skiing resort, just come in and 

enjoy. Thanks Kathryn and me said. We went inside the cafeteria and 

we ordered hot chocolate and cinnamon bread. After eating we went to 

play in the snow for a little while. We stopped playing and started 

thinking that our parents will be worried because we are not in the 

house, so quickly we went to the place where we had appeared and 

closed our eyes. The wind blew and suddenly we went back at home.

We were in my living room again. We went running to my parent's room 

and told them: We are sorry if we weren't here for so long. What are 

you talking about? They asked. Oh nothing we said and went running to 

my room. How didn't they noticed? Kathryn asked me. I don't know but 

maybe when we are there no time passes here. That's why it's still the 

same time that when we went. Exactly Kathryn said so there's no 

problem if we go to sleep on that resort one day. Yes, we can do that 

tomorrow at night. We can go at 4 pm, sleep there and come back the 

next day at 4 pm. Yes perfect said Kathryn, but remember this is our 

secret. Nobody can know this. Promise, we both said at the same time. 

Now it is getting darker said Kathryn. I'll need to go home. Tomorrow 

at 4 pm I'll be here she said. OK perfect but don't forget I answered.

That night in my room I couldn't stop thinking that my 

stockings were magical. I was so happy that I had discovered 

that amazing snowy place. I couldn't wait for the next day. I 

will sleep in a resort with Kathryn all by ourselves. I was 

really happy and I couldn't stop thinking of the fun that we'll 

have the next day. Suddenly I fell asleep.

I opened my eyes. A ray of sunlight was hitting my eye. Yes! I 

said. It's the day. I'm going to the mountains with Kathryn. 

Suddenly, there was a delicious smell that entered my room. 

Waffles I said. A perfect breakfast before a big day. I got out 

of bed and went to the kitchen. Hi said my mom. Hi mom I replied. 

There's waffles in the toaster. Go and get one said my mom. OK 

thanks I said. I got a waffle and put it on a plate, then I got 

maple syrup and put it on top of the waffles. It was delicious. 

After breakfast I got the phone and called Kathryn. Hi Kathryn I 

said. Hi! She answered. Don't forget about our plan I told her. No 

I won't. At 4 pm I will be at your house. OK great and don't 

forget to take your pajamas and some skiing clothes I told her. 

Thanks for remembering me she said. We said good bye and he 

hung up. I went to my room to make my bag and take a bath to get 

ready.

I opened the shower and took a bath. I went to dress up and 

when I was ready, I went to pack my bag. I got a big bag and 

put in it: skiing clothes, boots,   a sweater,   a jacket, pajamas 

and everything that I will need. I was ready, know I just had 

to wait until 4 pm.

The doorbell rang at 3:50. It was Kathryn. Hi Kathryn! Hi! 

she answered. Are you ready? I asked. Sure she said and 

you? Yes I'm ready too. We went to the living room and put 

our head inside the stockings. We closed our eyes. 

When we opened our eyes we were in the skiing mountains, 

surrounded by people skiing. Kathryn, I said. What if we go to 

leave our things on the resort and then get ready to go skiing? 

Great idea! Skiing is really cool. Let's go to the hotel and change 

fast before it gets dark. We ran until we saw the resort. We went 

inside and asked for a room. The men that we had seen the day 

before took us to a beautiful room in the 2nd floor. It had 2 beds. 

We put on our skiing clothes and got ready to go out. We walked 

down the hotel stairs and walked into the snow. We got our skiis 

and were ready to go. We skiied down the mountain and in 

beautiful roads covered with snow. After skiing for an hour and a 

half we went back to the hotel to eat dinner and get ready for 

bed. We ordered a delicious spaghetti and meatballs and for 

dessert hot chocolate.
