It all started one of the last days of June. I was in my room and the 

phone rang. I went running to answer it. It was my friend Manuela. 

Hi Manuela! Hi she said. Manuela said that she needed to tell me 

something. What? I asked. Ok she said I am going to ask you a 

question: do you want to go to a summer camp? Sure I said. When 

is it? It is from July 7 to July 14. I want to invite you and other 

friends. Do you want? Yes I said I will go and ask my parents. Wait 

a second. Mom! Can I go to a summer camp with my friends? Yes 

you can but be careful at camp. OK thanks mom! I went running to 

the phone. Manuela! Yes I can! Ok perfect I will call you next week 

to plan everything. I hung up.

Days passed. It was next week. Now we were on 

vacations. I was watching TV in the living room when 

our phone rang. It was Manuela again. Hi! We both said. 

Then Manuela said: I invited: Rebeca, Rafaela, Amelie, 

Florencia, Victoria and you. so camp starts next week, 

we're sleeping there so be sure that you pack everything 

that you need in a big bag. OK i won't forget, I said. 

Tomorrow come to my house at 11:00 am so we can 

plan everything. OK perfect I'll be there. Bye!

Rebeca, Rafaela, Victoria, Amelie, Manuela, Florencia 

and me were sitting at Manuela's porch. Manuela cleared 

her throat and said: Ok in 4 days we have to go... So be 

sure of bringing everything you need and remember: it's 

a camp so bring comfortable clothes. Today is Friday, so 

on Tuesday at this time come to my house. There's a 

bus that will take us to the camp. Everybody agreed. 

What if we bring board games to? I said. Everyone liked 

the idea. But just a few board games. In the camp 

there's tents. We don't need to take our own tent. 

Manuela said. There's tents in there. We finished talking 

about camp and we went to play inside. Suddenly 

Manuela's mom said: Do you want ice cream? We all 

went running downstairs. We love ice cream.

We were sitting at the kitchen's table. We were having mint 

chocolate chip ice cream. I t was delicious. While we drank our 

ice creams we were laughing very much. We were telling funny 

stories, playing some games and much more. Manuela's mom 

brought cookies too. They were the best cookies that I've tried. 

They were delicious! After drinking our ice cream we went 

upstairs again. We were really exited. We couldn't wait until 

Tuesday! It was already 6:00 pm so our moms came and picked 

us up. Don't forget to come on Tuesday! Said Manuela. OK! we 

answered and went home.

In the weekend I started packing my bag. It was a 

green one and it was very big.

Pajamas

Many pairs of clothes

Shoes

Toothpaste and toothbrush

And many more things. My mom was helping me. She 

was checking that I didn't forgot anything. Camp will be 

really fun! I told my mom. I'm sure it will! She told me. 

But be careful of getting hurt. OK mom I will. Do you 

want to take a break? My mother asked. Oh yes thanks, 

I said. I have lemonade in the fridge. Let's go and have 

some. OK mom thanks. The lemonade was cold. it was 

perfect for a sunny day. After the break we went back to 

my room. We had to continue packing. Still there were 

lots of things to pack...

At 8:30 am I woke up by a really nice smell that entered my room. 

Pancakes! I said. I love pancakes. I got out of bed and went to the kitchen. 

My mom was there. She was preparing pancakes. Hi mom. Hi she said. Go 

on get some pancakes and maple syrup she said. Thanks! I answered. 

After breakfast I got ready to go to Manuela's house. I got my bag and 

went to the car. Manuela was waiting for us at her porch. I was the first 

one to arrive. After 5 minutes Victoria arrived and suddenly everyone was 

there. I said goodbye to my mom and she went away in her car.   OK! 

Manuela said. Fill your thermos with water. I waited in line until it was my 

turn. When everyone was ready we went in the car driving to a place were 

the bus will wait for us. When we arrived the bus was there already. We 

said goodbye to Manuela's mom and we got in the bus. Inside the bus 

there were some other kids that were going to camp to. We found a place. 

I sat beside Rebeca. The bus started to move. OFF WE GO!

Everyone was laughing and having fun. The bus moved at a perfect 

speed. We were looking at the window while we talked.

There were mountains and trees outside the windows. Specially Pines. 

It was 12:30 pm and the bus was really hot. I took my sweater out and 

put it in my backpack. Where are we eating lunch? Rafaela asked to the 

bus conductor. We are almost there so we will eat lunch at camp 

.Everyone was hungry and we were getting a little bored too. After 15 

more minutes of going in the bus we finally arrived to the camp. We 

were really exited.
