There are 7 teams that will write stories,  draw pictures of story on ai tool or draw pictures themselves  and add voice to our common story.

Masal and her new eTwinning friends wants to meet at the cafe. They want to know each other better. Masal's new friends are from Türkiye, Italy and Poland. Defne, Marco, Elena and Gennaro come earlier. They decide to sit and wait for others to come.

They start to talk about their schools, countries and cultures. Defne has some culture items. She says:

-This is a Nazar Boncuğu. Turkish people usually  wears blue color beads on the arm or neck.  It can guard you from any negative energy. Can you tell us about your country and your culture?

"It's a nice tradition" says Elena. "Do you like my necklace with a pendant" ? Defne replies :" Yes, I do. It's so cute! What is it?" Elena says that it is from Murano, near Venice in Italy. This place is famous all around the world for handmade artcraft made of glass. Gennaro and Marco ask Defne about the Turkish coffee and if she likes Italian coffee. Defne replies "I don't drink coffee, I prefer tea".

"Why don't you like coffee?" they ask. "It's too bitter" Defne says. Suddenly also Emma, Lucia Maria and Riccardo join in. They hear the guys' conversation and they exclaim "If you don't like coffee, think about Italian pizza!" "Yessss!" the other friends shout. Emma & company explain that delicious pizza is from Naples!

It is dedicated to a queen, Margaret of Savoy. Pizza Margherita is a MUST and it reminds of the Italian tricolour with its colours. In the flag green is hope, white is faith, red represents charity and love. It's a symbol of unity and culture but, to Italians, also pizza is a symbol of tradition and a pure moment of joy. "What is the symbol of your countries?"

Defne: "One of the symbols of the traditional Turkish cuisine is Kebap. Have you ever tried it?"

Riccardo:" Yes, I have! It's delicious but I prefer Pasta alla Gricia, a typical Roman dish. The ingredients are: pasta, pecorino cheese, guanciale (salt-cured meat product prepared from pork jowl or cheeks) and black pepper. 

Defne: "Oh, it's a Roman dish! Is Rome the capital of Italy?"

Emma replies: " Yes! Have you ever been to Rome?"

Defne says: " No, I haven't. But I know the Colosseum and it's enormous!

Lucia says: "Yes, it is!  It is the largest amphitheater in the world! What else do you know about Italy?"

Defne: "Ooo I know  Naples !"

Gennaro:"Oh! I'm from Naples 

Defne:"Nice!What can I do when I go to Naples?

Gennaro:" You can walk along the seafront,you can visit Ischia and  Capri.  

Lucia:"Ehi Defne! I recommend you to try the Babà and the Sfogliatella.

Lucia:   “ Babà is a baked dessert made with leavened dough with brewer's yeast, soaked in rum, of French origin and which has become typical of  Neapolitan pastry making. It can also be found divided in two and filled with chocolate or cream. 

“Sfogliatella” (in Neapolitan: 'a sfugliatèlla) is a typical dessert from the Campania pastry shop and comes in two main variants: it can be curly, if prepared with puff pastry, or shortcrust, if prepared with shortcrust pastry."

Gennaro:"Come and visit Naples so we can meet and I can show you many beautiful places"

Defne:"Oh Yes! I really want to visit Naples!

Dafne: Oh wow, I love pastries! I always look for traditional sweets when I travel. I’ll definitely try the Babà and the Sfogliatella.

Gennaro: That’s great! And don’t forget to visit the historic centre — it’s full of beautiful old buildings, little shops, and street musicians. You really feel the heart of Naples there.

Lucia: Yes, and if you like history, you can also explore the underground Naples. It shows a different side of the city and it’s really fascinating. You walk through tunnels and ancient ruins!

Dafne: That sounds amazing! Thank you both for the tips! I’m even more excited to visit now!
