This book is dedicated to all the people who have ever loved a pet so much that it saved and changed their life.

Once upon a time in a forest, there was a wolf wandering in search of food. As she approached a campsite to steal something to eat, she encountered some humans who, upon noticing the presence of the wolf, began to chase her.
While being chased, she managed to hide in a cave where she could rest and take shelter. After making a great effort to escape, she began to feel unwell and in pain, for she was pregnant — and that is how she gave birth to her pups

Time passed and the pups grew up; they helped their mother search for food, always being careful. But one day, while they were walking through the forest, they began to be chased by a group of hunters, which caused the pack to split up as the hunters tried to catch them.

Then, one of the wolf pups got lost, and while he wandered through the forest—shy and worried about his pack—it began to rain. So he decided to look for a place to hide. Suddenly, he spotted a group of people in the distance, camping and cooking. But then, he started hearing noises behind him, and when he turned around, he realized it was a child watching him

The boy, in his innocence, approached and tried to pet the wolf. Sensing that his intentions were neither bad nor dangerous, the wolf gave in to the touch, and the boy said: --- I'm Ethan, and I will take you to my home.
Ethan decided to name him Silver, and from that day on, they became the best of friends. They went everywhere together and played all day long. Silver realized that not all humans wanted to hurt him, because he had ended up in Ethan’s arms — and Ethan opened his heart so that he could stay by his side. They took care of each other and promised never to be apart, and so they continued to grow up together.

Eight years of adventures went by, but their journey would take an unexpected turn, as Ethan had to enlist in the army. His country had erupted into a war, and so he had to leave for the battlefield, leaving behind his family and his best friend, Silver, who waited with great uncertainty...

Days, weeks, and months went by, and there was no news about Ethan. Autumn was nearly over, and every day Silver waited outside for his friend, missing him, hoping he was okay — though something deep in his heart told him he had to do something

That’s when he made the decision to go look for him, as his great sense of smell could help him search for him from kilometers away. He couldn’t wait any longer and decided to follow his heart and take action
