The Bloodstone of Cerberus                                                                       Introduction                                       AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I heard a voice scream. Before I continue, let me tell you my story. I'm Lucy Smith and I've been to Mt. Olympus. You might be thinking, ''Wait, what?'' but yeah. I've been to Mt. Olympus ( You know, the whole mountain thing associated with the Greek gods and goddesses?).You see, I was bored one day and went into the attic just for fun. I looked around and saw a small, painted, sculpture. It was a sculpture of Zeus on a white and light yellow Pegasus, Poseidon on a blue and light green horse made of coral, and Hades on a stallion made of

black and dark purple shadows. I looked at it a little bit closer, and saw a button that had words on it. I wasn't able to read it because I didn't have my glasses, so I ran downstairs to get them, and then I ran back up. By the time I got back up stairs, I was panting like CRAZY! I read the button, and it specifically said in small, black, letters,                        Don't press!!                 - Grandma   R                        

This was Grandma Rachel's!?!?!?!? Wait.(Me thinking) Oh ya! How could I forget? Grandma Rachel used to work at a museum. Once she retired, the museum let her take one of the artifacts. Of course, since the message on the button said it was from Grandma, it couldn't have been there while it was on display in the musuem, so I'm assuming that Grandma Rachel somehow attached the button onto the small sculpture and added mechanical stuff inside ( Grandma was GREAT at tinkering with stuff.) showing that she was very smart. Sigh. I wish she was still alive.

Anyway, I was SUPER DUPER curious, but I knew that I shouldn't press it, so I just had to sit there in dissapointment. In fact, I was so dissapointed that I glued pictures of sad faces right here.

I know, I know, super dramatic, but I was SO curious!  I needed to know what the button did! I knew it would be cool because Grandma was FULL of surprises, and I had this pulling feeling that  I was somehow connected to this!!!!!!  Soon, Dad called me down for dinner and said " Lucy! What are you doing up there? Your mom made your favorite! Mashed potato with mac n cheese with-" " A side of broccoli." I finished grumpily. I was happy for dinner, but I was SO SAD!!!!!

"What's wrong, Luce? You're never this quiet, ya little goofball." He asked. I managed to let out a little grin, and told him that I was just tired, but I didn't tell the truth to him because I could tell he had no idea about the button, and I didn't want to worry him. Dad and mom have a lot in common, but there are also a bunch of differences. One of the differences is that Dad is really bad at handling pressure, but Mom stays solid. Another thing is that Dad's always SUPER OPTIMISTIC, and so is Mom, but she still has to stay serious, so that it doesn't get out of control.

 The last  difference is that I can see right through Dad, so I can tell if he's lying or keeping something from me ( That's how I could tell that he had no idea about the button.) , but Mom's like, SUPER DUPER DUPER good at lying and convincing people, which is why I always believe her expression when we play Uno.  Back to the story! Once I finished dinner, I thanked Mom and went to bed. I had a dream where Grandma Rachel was right in front of me, smiling. I was so happy, and I went to hug her, but the second I touched her, she started to fade away.

" No! Don't go!" I said, tears streaming down my face. " I have to leave. I'm sorry." And then she gave me the pearl white scarf she was wearing.  Remember me." she said softly. I woke up, still crying. I knew the dream was fake, but when I looked around, I saw it. The pearl white scarf. I wore the scarf, and suddenly, I just couldn't take it anymore. I tip - toed  to the attic, and picked up the sculpture, but right before I pressed it, I heard a voice.
