Prologue
Once, there were two twins named Krithi and Ricky. They lived in a small house with only their mom, because their dad had died from a bomb in the millitary when Krithi and Ricky were three. The twins were always laughing and smiling, and their mom always tried to join in so that the twins wouldn't suspect that she was miserable inside. She would cry for days after her husband died even though it happened six years ago! The twins' mom was suffering from depression, and one day, she couldn't take it anymore! On Krithi and Ricky's ninth birthday, their mom went out to get "a cake" and never came back.
This left the twins to fend for themselves. They ran to every house they could find, but no one would take them in! The twins' last choice was to go to the sea near them and go to a new place. They took their dad's old canoe and paddled until their hands were numb. Finally, they reached the island Ellaland, an almost barren place with dangerous things and animals. Not the best choice, but at least it had food and other recourses! Something was better than nothing. "Whew!" Krithi said. "I'm Exhausted!" Ricky nodded. Both twins were very proud of themselves.
Chapter 1: Set up camp
Once they made it to the island, they found a nice tree to set up camp next to. The two found long branches and spruce gum to hold everything together. Once they finished their shelter, they found some firewood and old buried matches to make a campfire in order to survive the cold night. The next morning they made spears using VERY sharp rocks and firm sticks. Then they went spear fishing. A couple hours later they caught some trout, bass and a few other fish. "Wow!" said Krithi. "We really caught a lot!" "Yup." Ricky agreed. "Let's make a fire to cook these things." The twins started to make a fire when Krithi informed her brother that they shouldn't cook all of it because they could save some fish for dinner.
Ricky agreed, and the twins started to look for something they could use as a knife to cut out the bones and the other parts you're not suposed to eat. It didn't take them very long to find a hunter's knife, because there was trash all over the island. Ricky started to cut the fish. but the second Krithi saw the inside, she nearly threw up! "Ewwww!!" she said with a disgusted face. Ricky finished cutting the fish by himself. When it was time to eat, Krithi thought of what she just saw and couldn't eat a bite. Instead of fish, she just ate the few strawberries and carrots around her. "I'm so glad that I was on my vegetarian diet!" she said. Ricky just rolled his eyes. "You are SO over reactive." he told her. "Whatever." Krithi replied. This was the way they lived for about a week.
After the VERY boring week was over, the twins were just doing their normal things when they saw a wolf near their base!
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"
Krithi yelled at the top of her lungs. "What happened!?!?!?!?" Ricky screamed with a terrified look on his face. He ran over, and sure enough, he saw the wolf too! Both twins were so terrified they couldn't speak. "Hi! What's your name? Please chill. I'm not going to hurt you!" the wolf said. "AAHH!!!! The wolf can talk!" Krithi shrieked with all of the might inside of her. "No it can't. What are you talking about? Ricky replied, stumped. "Wait a second..." the wolf said. Then it gasped loudly. "Y-You can understand me? There's a really small amount of humans that can understand me!"
Chapter 2: a new friend
"Yes! I'm Krithi. And this is my brother, Ricky." Krithi said as she pointed at her completely confused twin brother. When he finally spoke, he said "I think we should give this poor wolf a name! It totally deserves one." (Krithi had been translating the conversation) "You mean HE, not it!" she replied. "But yeah. We need to give him one."The Krithi and Ricky started discussing names when they realized that the wolf had eaten all of their bread! They had other food, but they needed as much as possible to survive! "Hey!" Ricky said, blind with fury. "Ricky! Calm down! It's just bread! It's not like you enjoy it or something anyway." Krithi said as she tried to calm him down. "Wait!" Ricky said, his eyes brightening up. "That's it! He should be named Leo! You know, the kid at home who always ate bread?"" Krithi agreed. "You know, sometimes I actually appreciate that brain inside of you." she replied.
Chapter 3: The BIG Explanation
Leo thanked Krithi and Ricky for the name, and in return told them that they could ask him any question about Ellaland and he would answer it. They asked A LOT of questions. "Ellaland was not always barren like it is now. It used to be thriving with plants and it was filled with the smells of the sweetest, biggest flowers. There were a lot of animals, and almost all of them were cheerful and happy everyday.
One animal was always angry. It was Drew the Dragon. He was never like the other animals. He was always interested in terrible topics, like death and pain. The other creatures hated him, and they had a right to do so! He was a big bully. He became one because the animals didn't like him, but the more he bullied, the more they hated him! It was a terrible cycle.
When Drew grew up, he was a monstrosity. One day, he found out about an extremely rare flower called the Candy Lotus. There was only one of them in each universe, and they were SUPER hard to find, but lucky for Drew, the Candy Lotus was on Ellaland! Now you're probably thinking, 'What's so great about a flower?' , but the Candy Lotus had magical nectar, and whoever drank it would have magical powers for the rest of their life! Drew eventually found the lotus and drank its nectar. He used the magic to hypnotize the animals to make them join his army. There are still hypnotized animals all over this island, so you must be careful."Leo explained to the twins. They thanked him and told him that they could come to their tent for safety anytime.
Chapter 4: Drew's Army attacks
The next morning Krithi and Ricky did their average thing, but all of a sudden a wildfire made by Drew the Dragon broke out! He probably heard their conversation with Leo and realized that they were going to start defending Ellaland from him. The twins knew they had to defend their home, so they raced back to the tent. When they arrived, it was too late. Their camp had been destroyed, not by the fire, but by creatures Drew had hypnotized. During their reconstruction Krithi found a shiny scale that belonged to a (probably) large snake. The twins knew that it was a symbol that Drew had plans to destroy the twins. The twins knew that in order to defeat him, they needed a steady base! The two found metal scraps ashore and armored the base. After that, Krithi used spruce gum and attached the hunter's knife to her spear to make it even sharper for defending and attacking.
Krithi decided that it would be pretty cool to go outside with her improved spear so that she could test it on random things. Ricky came along with her just for fun, but soon enough, there was something that Krithi actually had to spear! Drew had sent a troop of hypnotized snakes to attack Krithi and Ricky, and they didn't even realize until Ricky spotted out that they were surrounded! Krithi eventually killed all the snakes exept for one huge, deadly, and aggresive snake. Krithi tried to stab it multiple times, but the snake was a skilled dodger. "Ricky! It's behind you!" Krithi yelled, but it was too late. The snake had bit Ricky, and he was already losing consciousness! The snake seemed satisfied and slithered away, but Ricky passed out! He was bit on the leg, and it was purple and swelling up! Then Krithi remembered the cave she passed by while looking for a good place to camp. Drew's lair! Thankfully, Drew wasn't there, and Krithi used the medicines in there to heal Ricky.
Chapter 5: River Repercussion
The next morning, Ricky and Krithi saw that their base was crawling with ants, bees, flies, and cockroaches! They didn't build their base properly. "EEEWWW!!!" said Krithi. "I'll kill them." said Ricky. "Owww!!!!" yelled Ricky. He stepped on an axe. Good thing he was wearing shoes! "OOOOHHH! An axe!" Krithi exclaimed. "Now we can both have one each!" Ricky asked to chop a tree down, but Krithi denied because Ricky's feet still weren't working properly. She swung the axe and chopped a tree. While she collected the wood, he saw rocks vines, and coal. She picked it all up and made a sword and a pickaxe. Then, Krithi took the coal and made a fire. "It's a shame we don't have marshmallows." Krithi sighed. "Wait!" said Ricky. We don't have beds! All we have is this lousy tent! Can we make something before it's dark?"
"Ok! We have to work fast." Krithi allowed Ricky to look for materials because crawling wasn't very dangerous. A bit later, Ricky found a huge cloth. The two made a hammock. After that, Krithi's stomach grumbled. Ricky went fishing, and Krithi tagged along. Ricky picked up his sword when he heard something in the water go "Woosh!" A trident rose up behind Krithi and almost hit her. Then, a weird monster stood up. Krithi snatched the trident and killed the monster. She wanted the trident because it was good quality, but it became dust in a few seconds. Krithi didn't pay attention to Ricky because of the trident, and the next thing she knew, Ricky was screaming for help! Krithi turned around, and Ricky was in the river! His poisoned leg gave in while he was fishing, and he fell! "Krithi!" he yelled before he floated away.
The second Krithi heard the scream she ran to the river. When she finally noticed Ricky holding onto a rock for dear life, she pointed a long stick at him and he grabbed it with a death grip. Then, Krithi pulled the stick, launching Ricky onto land. Sadly, Ricky landed on a pile of mud, making him very dirty. He was gasping for air, and when he could finally speak, he said, "Thanks sis, but did you have to launch me onto mud? It looks like I pooped my pants!" Krithi just laughed and brought him to the section of the river that was very safe and had an extremely weak current so that he could take a "bath". After that, Ricky ate some leftover fish and Krithi had a sandwich from the last piece of bread she had and a few pieces of tomatoes and lettuce from the plants around her. The two ate next to the river because Ricky was still cold after drying off, and he couldn't walk farther with his bad leg.
