Little Maria and Emily are best friends! They love playing in the sandbox together while their stuffies, Storm the bunny, Puddles the penguin, and Freddy the bear, sit nearby and watch them play together.

But as the girls play, a dark shadow of a figure is cast over the stuffies. And in a blink of an eye, Storm, Puddles, and Freddy are gone.

After a while, the girls finish building their beautiful sandcastle.
“It’s so cool! Lets show Storm and Puddles!” suggests Maria.
“yes! I want to show Freddy our amazing castle!” agrees Emily.

But when the girls walk to where they left their stuffies, Storm, Puddles, and Freddy were nowhere to be found.
“Oh no!” Emily cries out, Her eyes filling with tears ”our stuffies are missing!” Maria takes a deep breath. She is upset like Emily is but tries to stay calm.
“We will find them.” Maria declares.
“How?” Sniffles Emily.

Maria thinks to herself then looks around the sandbox. Then Under the bench where the toys were, there lays a green toy car. Maria carefully picks it up.

“I found a clue! It can help us find our stuffies!!” Maria exclaims. Emily is confused.
She sniffles.
“What is a clue? How can it
help us find them?” Asks Emily.
“A clue is something that can help us solve this mystery.
Now we know whoever took them, left behind this green car!”

Near a picnic table, Emily finds a green watch. Near a slide, Maria finds a single green glove. The girls put their findings together and look at them.
Maria tells Emily to take a deep breath to calm down. Once both girls are calm and Emily is no longer crying, they begin sneaking around like detectives, searching for more clues.

“it looks like whoever took our toys really likes green ,” says Emily. “Look!” Maria says, pointing to the one glove,
“The thief left behind a glove. That must mean they only have one glove left”
The girls smile and give each other a high five. They are getting close to finding their stuffies.
“So we just have to look for someone who likes green and is missing a glove!” Declares Emily.
