Chapter 1: Springfield Elementary School
The kids are back to school after a Thanksgiving break. The Kindergarten teacher Sophia had the kids sit in a circle for morning meeting. After they greeted each other, they all shared what they did during the break. Sam said he was in a sleepover camp and he loved it. Isabella said she went to Disney World in Florida with her cousin and grandparents. Karla said she went to San Francisco to visit her grandparents and went to the beach. John said he went to Italy with his parents and enjoyed visiting Lake Como. Stella said she didn’t leave town, but her grandparents came to visit her.
As they were about to finish, Principal Cecilia came to the class and said, “Good morning kids! I want all the kids to be vigilant at all times. The Popsicle Demon cats are one of the deadliest wild cats in the Northeast. These are not like the cute cats kids are used to seeing. When you look at them they look very innocent, but they are dangerous. So please be very careful."

Chapter 2: The Demon's plot
While the kids are getting ready for recess, in the dense forest adjacent to the playground of the school, the Popsicle Demon Cats are plotting. These are dangerous wild cats and they love to take kids away with them by giving them popsicles. Once they take the kids deep into the forest, the kids will never be able to escape.
The head of the Demon cats is the mom named Kali and she is jet black in color and has scary eyes. Geenu and Koodu are cat boys. Jeenu is a lighter shade of black while Koodu is brown in color.
Kali roared, “Boys it’s time to strike!" We will be hiding in the bushes in the corner of the playground. The kids will come running outside during recess. We should lure them with the colorful popsicles and then can take them deep into the forest.

Chapter 3: The near miss
Kali, Jeenu and Koodu are standing near the bushes ready for action. It is almost recess time. The kids will come out any time. Jeenu and Koodu were shaking their body since it was getting too cold and they felt a few snowflakes falling on them. Soon more snowflakes started coming down and it was chilly. Koodu asking Kali, “ Why aren’t the kids coming out yet?”
Kali told them, “ Maybe they have indoor recess today since it is snowing. That would be bad for us." Sure enough, the kids stayed indoors and played. The demon cats decided to come the next day. The cats waited again on Friday, but there were no kids in the school since it was parent teacher conference day. Oh well, the Cats have to wait until Monday.
