As part of the project «The Rhythm of Fashion – Dress Yourself to the Sound of Music», the partners selected several designers and then researched them. In this book, we can read about the findings of the various participants, taking into account their countries of origin: Portugal, Greece, Italy, and France.

Portugal - Maria Gambina

Style: Her work stands out for its fusion of sportswear and contemporary design.

Creative, Inventive and first of all an artistic personality, Klelia Andrali was born in Athens, Greece. Since graduating from her BA in Athens as an interior architect, Klelia turned her interest from design to fashion with a specialization in digital print. She went on to study at Glasgow school of Art, where she learned to appreciate alternative techniques in making her own fabric.
Klelia is always inspired by art and social movements following Warhol’s techniques and she has a unique approach to designing womenswear and accessories.
All prints are handmade using initially pencils, markers and watercolors.

Domenico Dolce
from Polizzi Generosa, Italy, came into contact with the tailoring world at a young age through the family shop. He attended scientific high school and in 1976 enrolled at the School for Stylists in Milan, attending the Marangoni Institute in Milan. In 1981 he began his professional partnership with his partner Stefano Gabbana, with whom he opened an art consultancy studio in 1984. The following year Dolce and Gabbana presented their first fashion collection in Milan.

The success achieved by the two designers made the brand one of the most famous in the fashion field.
Although they continue to work together, in 2004 the romantic relationship between the two designers ended. In 1995 he was also part, together with Stefano Gabbana, of the cast of Giuseppe Tornatore's film L'uomo delle stelle, in which they made a cameo appearance as a farmer and a photographer respectively. In 2020, Tornatore himself makes a documentary about the two designers, titled Devotion.
