Welcome to our project, Exploring My Senses. This project was created to help students explore the five senses through fun, interactive, and inclusive activities.
Teachers and students from different countries worked together to discover how we see, hear, touch, smell, and taste the world around us. Throughout the project, students participated in various sensory activities, shared their experiences, and learned from each other.
This e-book presents a collection of our students’ activities, creative works, and collaborative experiences.
Through these pages, you will see how learning can become more meaningful when we explore the world with all our senses.

MASCOT OF THE PROJECT
Our little explorers brought our project mascot to life!
Using different materials, students created a 3D version of the mascot.
With creativity and imagination, they designed their own unique mascots.
It was a fun way to combine art, creativity, and our sensory exploration journey!

TEXTURE BOARDS
Our little explorers were ready to discover the world of touch!
Different materials with various textures were placed on the texture board.
Students touched the surfaces carefully and described how they felt — soft, rough, smooth, or bumpy.
Using their hands like real explorers, they shared their observations and enjoyed discovering new textures together.

SENSORY POOL ACTIVITIES
Our little explorers dived into the sensory pool for a new discovery!
Different textured materials were placed inside the pool, hiding special symbols.
Students searched for the symbols using their hands while exploring the different textures.
As they touched, searched, and discovered, they experienced a fun adventure in the world of touch!

Our little explorers went on a colorful adventure!
Students searched around their environment to find different colors.
As they spotted and “captured” the colors, they shared their discoveries with their friends.
This fun activity helped them explore the world of colors while learning through play.

Many balloons in different colors were waiting for them.
Students listened carefully and popped the balloon with the correct color when it was called or shown.
It was an exciting and playful way to recognize colors while having lots of fun!

SCENT JARS ACTIVITIES
Our little explorers were ready for a new sensory adventure!
Different scents were hidden inside the scent jars. One by one, the students carefully smelled each jar and tried to guess what the mystery scent could be.
Using their noses like real explorers, they shared their guesses and discovered the wonderful world of smells. It was a fun and exciting way to explore the sense of smell together!

Öğrencilerim çok küçük oldukları için koku kavanozu etkinliğini çocukların yaşına ve gelişim düzeyine uygun hale getirdim. Koku kavanozları yerine, farklı kokulara sahip gerçek nesneler ve bu nesnelerin resimlerini içeren kartondan bir zar kullandık. Zar kartondan yapılmıştı. Çocuklar zarı masanın üzerinde yuvarladılar ve resme uyan nesneyi bulmaya, ardından kokusunu almaya çalıştılar.

Our little explorers created their own natural scent!
Using oranges and cloves, students made a beautiful and fragrant room scent.
As they prepared their natural scent, they discovered how wonderful and refreshing different smells can be.
It was a delightful way to explore the sense of smell!

Together with my students, we carried out an enjoyable and educational activity using natural materials. In this activity, we shaped orange peels into small bowls and melted candles inside them. Then, we added lavender, cinnamon sticks, olive leaves, and a small amount of fragrance essence to create a natural room scent.

2. Sensey's Taste Journey (Common Product)
Our little explorers experienced a special journey from nature to their glass!
Some students squeezed fresh oranges and enjoyed the juice they made themselves. Others prepared a warm herbal tea using natural plants.
Through this activity, students discovered how nature can turn into delicious and healthy drinks while exploring different tastes and smells.

eTwinning projemiz kapsamında, tat alma duyusunu keşfetmek amacıyla portakal suyu sıkma etkinliği gerçekleştirdik. SENSEY'S TASTE JOURNEY
Our lovely project mascot, Sensey, went on a delicious taste journey!
First, Sensey traveled to Lithuania and discovered some traditional Lithuanian flavors.
Then, Sensey visited the cities of our partner schools in Türkiye. Together with the students, Sensey explored famous and traditional local tastes.
It was a wonderful journey where our little explorers discovered new cultures, flavors, and traditions together!

MARACAS MAKING ACTIVITIES
Our little explorers became young musicians!
Using different materials, each student created their own maracas.
After making their instruments, they shook their maracas and discovered the wonderful sounds they could create.
It was a fun and creative way to explore the world of sound!

Sensey's Symphony of Senses
Our little explorers created a rhythm symphony together!
Using a Lithuanian children’s song, students from different countries worked as one team.
They were divided into mixed international groups: the maracas group, the clapping rhythm group, and the rhythm sticks group.
Each group performed their rhythm in a different part of the song, creating a beautiful musical harmony together.
It was a wonderful example of collaboration, rhythm, and friendship across countries!
“Sensey’s Symphony of the Senses” is our collaborative product created within our eTwinning project, Exploring My Senses. Students from Türkiye and Lithuania came together in mixed international groups and created a unique rhythm performance using claps, maracas, and rhythm sticks.

Online Jigsaw Puzzle Game
The Game of Classifying the Senses
Our little explorers played an interactive Web 2.0 game called The Game of Classifying the Senses. During the activity, students examined different images and matched them with the correct sense organ.
Through this fun and engaging game, students strengthened their understanding of the five senses while developing their observation, classification, and decision-making skills. Learning became an exciting sensory adventure for our little explorers!
Online Jigsaw Puzzle Game
Our little explorers took part in an exciting online jigsaw puzzle activity! Students were divided into three mixed-country teams, bringing together children from different partner schools.
Working simultaneously, each team collaborated to complete a puzzle featuring our lovely project mascot, Sensey. Through teamwork, communication, and cooperation, the students successfully revealed Sensey’s picture piece by piece.
This fun collaborative activity strengthened international friendships while developing problem-solving and teamwork skills.
