With love to all the teachers and students from Türkiye, Romania, Greece, and Italy who participated in our project.

I am a tiny seed. I was born in Türkiye. Since I have no idea what kind of seed I was, I decided to embark on a journey to find myself. Starting from Denizli, my first stop was Pamukkale. I was so happy to see the olive trees. I began to wonder, could I be an olive tree?

I would love to be an old and wise olive tree. I excitedly search for the oldest olive tree. When I found it, I wondered if I could be an olive tree myself. I was so excited and exhausted from running around so much that I didn't even hear her reply.
To be sure whether it was an olive tree or not, she wanted to go to Greece, one of the places where olives are most common.

After leaving Türkiye, I traveled across the sea and arrived in Greece. Everything around me was beautiful and bright. The air smelled like the sea and flowers, and the olive trees sparkled under the warm sun. I walked through small villages with stone houses and colorful gardens, wondering if this was the place where I would finally discover what kind of seed I was.
One day, I arrived near Mount Olympus, the tallest mountain in Greece. There, I saw huge trees, green forests, and little pinecones lying on the ground. I asked a small pine tree, “Do you know what kind of seed I am?” The pine tree smiled and said, “Don’t worry! All seeds need time to grow and discover what they will become.”
That night, I sat beside the sea and looked up at the stars. For the first time during my journey, I felt happy and calm. Maybe I still didn’t know who I was… but I was growing a little more every single day.

...and I've decided to continue my journey, trying to find a country with some oak trees...maybe I am a strong seed, a seed that represents power, a seed that means strength. Oh! Romania, just two hours flying from Greece. A lot of coniferous forests! Ohh! What a beautiful mountains! What a tall trees! For sure I'm gonna find some of my relatives here, in this gorgeous scenes of green. Look! there's an oak.
- Hello, beautiful tree! I am looking for my family! Do you recognize me?

- Hey, little seed! I don't
think you are my type.
- Why? I grew up, can't you
see how big I am now?
- Ha, ha, ha! the oak
laughed. The size is
not that important! In
life, what you really are
matters more than any physical appearance. My advice to you, as an old-old tree that I am, is that you keep looking, maybe you'll find some answers.

The little tit warbler's warning echoed in my mind.
I looked up at the sky. Dark clouds were gathering above me, and the wind was becoming stronger every minute. My tiny leaves trembled, and I felt scared for the first time since I had started growing.
Suddenly, the rain began to fall. Large drops splashed onto the ground around me. The wind pushed and pulled at my fragile stem. I tried to stay strong, but I was afraid I would be uprooted and carried away.

Just then, the little tit warbler returned with some of her friends. They gathered small twigs and leaves around me, creating a tiny shelter. Nearby flowers and grasses bent toward me, helping to protect me from the strongest gusts of wind.
"Don't give up," chirped the little bird. "Every tree faces storms. They help us become stronger."

All night long, the storm raged. But when morning arrived, the sun peeked through the clouds. I was still there. Tired and wet, but stronger than before. My roots had grown deeper into the soil, and I felt more confident than ever.
For the first time, I realized that discovering who I was was not only about finding my name. It was also about learning to face challenges, making friends, and growing a little more every day.

As summer arrived, I continued to grow taller and stronger. One morning, I noticed something new appearing among my branches. Small green fruits were beginning to form.
Could this finally be the clue that would reveal what kind of tree I was becoming?

The water mirrored my changing form, reflecting the secret I held.
As children gathered under my shade to watch a painted butterfly, I kept my leaves perfectly still. When the butterfly finally fluttered away, the children chased after it, forgetting a small, fallen fruit in the grass. I looked down as the summer sun warmed it. Its skin softened, losing its bitterness to reveal rich sweetness beneath.
Fed by the earth, I watched proudly as my fruit began to blush with its true, ripe color.

I was almost there. The next morning, a wise old tortoise crawled out from the grass.
He looked at my green fruits and whispered, "You are searching for your true name. Here is a hint: soon, your skin will turn as golden as the autumn sun. Your flesh will become soft and filled with sweet juice. Your name is the taste of summer warmth."
Then, he slipped into the water. I looked at my reflection and felt a sudden warmth spreading through my branches. I was ready to change.
