Noah brought a little wooden bird.

Saanvi brought a bright piece of fabric.

“These are special to our families,” said Ari.

Words From Home

“Namaste!” said Ari.

“Hello!” said Noah.

“Vanakkam!” said Saanvi.

Different words.

Different sounds.

All saying hello.

“The children looked at their photos, objects and words.

Our families are different,”said Mila.

" And every family is special," said educator.

Ari smiled.

"We all belong here".

The children went for a walk,

They saw:

a library,

a park,

a bus stop,

a shop,

and a big green tree.

“Look at our community!” said Noah.

which place you visit?

“Where is the park?” asked Ari.

“Turn left!”

"Go straight!”

“ Turn right!”

The children moved three steps.

One, two, three!

Can you move with them?

The children stopped under a big tree.

“This place is on Aboriginal Country,”educator said,

" First Nations people have cared for Country for a very long time".

Ari look around.

We can care for this place too."
