There once lived a very special princess named Violet Isabella. 

She lived in a beautiful ancient magical land long ago and her 

house was a big stone castle surrounded by water.

One day while Violet was off playing with her friends not far 

from the royal castle. Violet's two little baby brothers snuck 

away from the queen who was busy baking a cake and somehow 

got into the nearby dark haunted forest.   A villager saw them 

cross the bridge headed to the forest and told Violet.

Many people in the village believed the forest to be haunted 

and ruled by a wicked witch. The entire village was terrified 

to enter the dark mysterious forest, for if they did, they 

feared that they would never be heard from again. 

Once Violet heard the news that her baby brothers were lost 

in the haunted forest she quickly went to look for them. Her 

father the king was away conquering enemies in distant lands 

and couldn't help. So she asked the royal guards to help, but 

they were too scared to go along. Next she asked some 

villagers, but they were scared as well. At last, she asked her 

two older brothers, the warrior twins, Prince Elijah and Prince 

Isaac, to help her find their lost little brothers. The twins 

readily accepted the challenge, eager to find and defend their 

younger siblings. 

The forest was not far, but first, they had to cross a bridge 

just outside of the castle walls. This bridge was guarded by 

a creepy old wizard named Tim, of whom the village knew 

little about. So they went to cross the bridge, when all of a 

sudden, poof!   In a cloud of smoke and fire, the creepy old 

wizard appeared. 

The wizard asked, in an obnoxious voice, “who dare pass this 

bridge I guard?”  That’s when Elijah said in his big warrior voice 

“Step aside old creepy and smelly one before I smack you down 

and smite you!” The wizard laughed and giggled like a girl and 

with a swipe of his staff he turned Elijah into a little bear 

cookie. He then said “I guess I shall eat you now, Elijah bear!” 

this made Isaac mad and he growled and raised his sword, the 

wizard took a step back and said “you calm down pretty boy or I 

shall do the same to you.” Violet was upset her brother Elijah was 

turned into a cookie and didn’t want Isaac to be turned into a 

cookie too and said to the wizard “Let us pass please good sir, 

we are only trying to find our lost baby brothers who are in the 

dark woods behind you."

The wizard giggled and said he remembered the two babies 

earlier who ran right by him and almost knocked him into the 

water. The wizard said he would gladly let them pass if first 

they could solve his riddle. Tim the wizard said he would also 

turn Elijah back to normal. “However!” the wizard exclaimed 

"if you do not answer correctly I shall not let you pass and I 

will eat the bear cookie." Violet thought long and cautiously 

and decided to agree since she was as clever as she was 

lovely. The wizard said if you are ready, here is your riddle 

“What color socks do bear’s wear?” Violet thought long and 

hard then laughed out loud and said “Silly wizard, bears 

don't wear socks, they have bear feet!” The wizard laughed 

so hard he burst into tears and said "you are correct my lady 

and you may pass, you clever little girl.” He turned Elijah 

back into his normal self and the trio continued on towards 

the dark forest. 

As the Padilla trio traveled Isaac told the tale of the haunted 

forest. Isaac said "it is said to be dark and haunted because 

of a mean and terrible witch known only as the Wicked 

O’witch of the Forest." Violet said “I am not scared brother, 

our Father taught me strength and courage and our Mother 

taught me how to be smart and clever. Besides our baby 

brothers need us.” That being said the Padilla trio entered 

into the forest. Once inside Isaac said “it’s so quiet you can 

hear your own heart beat in your chest.” Elijah said “no 

brother, you are just hearing my bass from my headphones, 

I was listening to some music.” Just then Violet heard the 

babies cry not too far away and began to run towards the cry 

as her brothers followed close by.

As they drew closer they could see a large dark house with 

bats flying about. It looked very scary and anybody but 

these three would have run away.

Violet stopped and called to her baby brothers “Baby 

brothers can you hear me?” Little Esai called back in a small 

scared voice “help us Violet we are trapped inside the house 

and the witch has us!”

Then all of a sudden a black mist came from all 

around them and they could hear the witch say in 

a crackly voice from beyond the mist “whooo are 

youuu and WHAT do you want?”

Elijah and Isaac said in a very loud and thunderous voice 

“We are the Warrior Twins who have slayed many monsters 

in our time and we are here to find our little brothers!” The 

witch laughed and said “I am no monster for I am the 

monster maker and will never give back your brothers, now 

be gone before I turn you both into frogs and you shall eat 

flies the rest of your lives.” The twins said “show yourself 

Wicked O’Witch of the Forest so that we may smite thee as 

we have done to the many monsters and creepy, slimy things 

that have come before.”
