Judy was born on February 25, 1941.

Her parents never shared any stories of her birth but her mother did have to drive out to Dodge City to give birth because there was no doctor in Greensburg.

Judy has two sibling. Barbra and Ed. They were all born 5 years apart. Barbra was born on February 26, 1936, Judy in 1941, and Ed was born on June 15, 1946.

She had two good friends that lived in her neighborhood growing up. There was around 8 kids total who lived in the same neighborhood and they would all play with each other. Greensburg had a local pool and all of those kids would walk about a mile to go swim in the pool each day during the summer.

Grammie grew up during World War 2 but hardly rememebers it since she was little. She mostly remembers the preseidential election of Eisenhower. She remembers staying up late to listen to the radio to hear who had won.

Fun story: Her family had large posters of the canidates during the election. Her dad told her to go to bed and he will pin up the poster of the winner while she was sleeping so she woke up to an Eisenhower poster hanging up on her dresser.

Judy graduated high school in 1959 at Greensburg High School. It was also the year Alaska and Hawaii became states.
Judy's favorite thing about high school was that she was involved in music and theatre.

One year, Judy's family flew to Mexico for vacation and her favorite thing was going to Mexico City. She also went to New York City, Washington D.C., and Yellowstone with her family throughout her life.

Judy went to KU for two years and Kstate for two years.

Judy met her spouse during high school. Bill Marshall was her math teacher her junior year of high school.
She was 21 when she got married in 1963.

Judy said her wedding was beautiful. She got married in winter and her mother made her dress out of white velvet. Bill was stationed in Hawaii so he had to fly down to get married in Kansas.

Grammie had 5 children. Eric, who was born on April 19 in 1964 in Hawaii, Amy, who was born on August 6 in 1965 in Missouri, Cindy, who was born on March 16 in 1967 in Georgia, Aaron, who was born on January 10 in 1969 in California, and Angela, who was born on March 3 in 1975 in Virginia.

Fun fact about her family is that they were all born in a different state. Eric in Hawaii, Amy in Missouri, Cindy in Georgia, Aaron in California, Angela in Virginia, Judy in Kansas, and Bill in Colorado.

Judy says that all of her kids were gentle spririts growing up. They never fought with each other or argued. They all seem to be happy growing up even thought they moved around a lot.

Church
Her maiden name was Church. She said she could trace it back to 1605 in America. All she knows about this name is that it was from England.

What life advice would you pass to your grandchildren?
"It is important to know God."

What do you want your children and grandchildren to remember about you?
"That I was a lot of fun and that I loved a good party."

What was your biggest regret and proudest moment?
"I have no regrets."
"All of my proudest moments involve my children and grandchildren."

"Learn to trust the Lord and believe his promises."
