Hello, My name is Lily.

I am an animal that lives in the ocean. I am not a fish. They call my type of animals mammals.

A mammal is an animal that breathes air, has a backbone and grows hair on her body.

Just like me!!!

I have different names. One of them is Lilly the Blue-Whale.

I am a Blue-Whale because my color is blueish or gray blue like sky when it is raining.

I was born in one of the coziest water on earth. It was very warm. My mama gave birth to a calf which was me in the early spring like other mamas and calves.

The Calves stayed with their mamas like I did for a long period of time.

I am a very great diver.

My parents and I can go deep down in the ocean with our heads down where any persons could not go.

Sadly, my ancestors family like other whales' was hunted by people. They had become severely endangered or extinct once upon a time.

Even so, there were many efforts done to prevent our final extinction in the ocean.

I am beautiful. I have a large tail called the "Flukes" that allows me to jump out the water.

I also have two pectoral "fins" that serve as arms to swim fast and very far.

I love the water!!!

The Fluke and the fins make me a very great swimmer.

I like to go up and go down in the water.

As grow older, I get to become stronger and faster.

I have the biggest heart of all the animals that ever existed.

It is so huge that a human adult can come live inside half of my Heart.

Like I said before, I love the water. I like to splash, jump and dive in the ocean for a long time without getting tired.

I believe you would really like to do that too if you were living in the water instead on the ground.

Just a moment!!! You can do that when you get to the beach.

Just a word of advise, be careful of the Jellyfish.

Jump, splash and have fun in the summer.

The Killer-Whale is not our biggest friend in the ocean. They do not like us at all and not very kind. We are not very keen of them too.

I live for a long time. As I grow older, I will become as larger and longer as my mama Lanie.

We are bigger than any other males in the sea like my papa Luke.

For me to be bigger like that, I need to eat a lot. I will continue to drink my milk that my mama gives me.

Remember that I told you, we are mammals.

Mammals give their babies milk to drink.

Nevertheless, when I become one year old, my mama will give me new food to eat.

I am near to eat normal food now.

No more milk day will come.

I will become an omnivore.

Omnivore is an animal that eats everything.

I will eat a lot of fish, plants or plankton.

Oh!!! The day will come.

My parents eat a lot food. It is like thousands of pounds per day.

They eat plenty because they do not eat during the winter period.

Phew!!! If we were to eat like that all year, we would not be able to move.

We are not very quick swimmer, but we always do and finish our quest.
