Prologue

Inside the Twolegplace, there was a loud bang, a flash of light, and another loud crash. Everything stopped for a second, and there was an explosion. The Twolegplace set on fire, and soon spread to the forest. The fire roared across the fields and the forest. All the prey was rather burnt in the fire or ran away. The fire spread to ShadowClan Territory, and soon too ThunderClan's. The brown and white tortoiseshell she-cat was terrified and coughing. She ran through the smoke to the leader's den. She looked around, and saw the white leader. the fire was still burning strong, and they took cover in the den. Suddenly, a charred tree fell over, and blocked the

entrance, trapping them in. The medicine cat screamed for help, but the clan, all except her and the leader, had escaped. The medicine cat squirmed awkwardly, and woke up. She was breathing heavily, and was scared. She was almost sure that she saw the future!

Chapter 1

Swiftfur scented a mouse in the undergrowth, she went into her hunting position, and stalked the mouse. It didn't have enough time to react when Swiftfur pounced on the mouse. Swiftpaw hunted until sunhigh was returning with lots of prey. At the camp, at that moment, Stonepaw ran in, panting. Her arm was bleeding from what looked like a claw scratch.
