Thank you Zeptolab, for making this amazing game C.A.T.S. which is what this book is based off of, and I hope I don't get sued for making this story.
Thanks to my friend David, who told me about C.A.T.S.
I love !

Prologue
In a dark alley, he walked through carrying a locked briefcase, he could barely see a thing. A black tom cat walked up to him, with three people following him. "Where is the money you promised us?" "Sorry for the delay, so how much money do you need, 5?" "Hundred thousand" He unlocks the briefcase and hands it to the dark figure. "You can leave now". He walked out of the alley and he was relieved, he was finally free of them. I can finally visit my nephew. I should
buy him something. He sees a poster, the poster showed a trophy, with some giant machine with weapons, and in a giant print it said, "Diamond League Championships." I can get him a vehicle, and maybe he'll like to race! He noticed a shop on the other side of the street. It's late right now, I don't think it's open, I'll come back tomorrow. He looked back at the shop, and started heading home, whistling.
Chapter 1
Jake, a brown tabby cat, woke up, he laid down on his bed and turned on his TV, he changed the channel to Crash Champions. It was the Amazing Crash'o vs. The Rocket Lawncher. Jake always dreamed he could be in a tournament, he could see his name on the big screen, The Crazy Crasher! When he was drooling, dreaming about the tournament the doorbell rang. He ran downstairs and happened the door, half asleep, when he was able to open his eyes, his jaw
dropped, it was his Uncle Tony, he hadn't seen him for over 5 years! "Sorry about how I wasn't here for so long, it happens when you owe a lot of money to bad guys." Jake gave him uncle a big hug. "Here, follow me, I bought you a gift!" Tony brought Jake to a warehouse, where there were supply crates and broken down vehicles everywhere. Right in from of him, there was a giant crate. Tony walked up to the crate and opened it up. "Wow, it's a car!" "How do you like it?" "It's amazing!" Beside the car, there were a rocket launcher and some wheels. "You can add the rocket launcher to your car, and add the
wheels, they're the most important." Jake put on everything he was told to and he was proud of himself. "Get in, and we can go to the arena for a test run!" "Really?! I can? But don't I need training, I don't even know how to drive!" "You'll get the hang of it." With that, they left the warehouse.
The ride to the Arena was mostly smooth and comfortable, apart from when he crashed into 3 mailboxes, 5 other cars and almost hit an elderly woman! Tony was right behind him,
running. When they entered the Arena, a ticket person in a booth gave him a ticket. "Here, your number is 1738, the number that's playing right now is 1725, so you better hurry up!" "I'll wait for you outside, and can't go in without a car!" Jake drove in, as careful as he could, surprisingly, he didn't hit anything! He saw a line, and he figured he should line up, so he did. When he got close, the sign said, EVEN NUMBERS. He lined up and awaited his first ever match!
Chapter 2
The announcer called 1737 and 1738 into the arena. Jake took a deep breath and entered the arena. There were hundreds of cats on the stands, Jake wondered, were they here for all these fights, don't they ever get bored. He looked across the stadium, his car was metal and looked really strong, but the car had no weapons or wheels. The announcer called "Start the BATTLE!" and Jake pulled the lever to start his car. His rockets started firing at the opposing
car but it looked barely scratched! After 10 super intense seconds, some giant bulldozers came closing in slowly from the side, he couldn't tell if the drivers were cats or robots. He noticed he rather had to defeat his opponent or escape from the bulldozers. Jake drove his car, but his hands lost grip of the wheel and he swerved around and the book of his car hit the opponents car, knocking them into the bulldozer. The opposing cat bailed out his vehicle just in time and started waving his white flag. He had won his first battle. Against a person with no weapons. He exited the stadium,
feeling really proud of himself, amazed that he could pull the win off. At that moment, some people came in carrying a crate and the car his opponent was riding. "Here are your prizes, a crate, some money and your choice of anything he had on his car, but he only had his car, so you take it." "Ok" You lose an item when you lose a battle, why didn't Uncle Tony tell me about this? I better go outside now. Jake put the money and the crate into his car, hooked the other car to his and drove out. He saw Uncle Tony outside and he was mad at him, he didn't want to lose the gift he just got! "Well done, I saw the whole
thing!" "Thanks, but why didn't you tell me you could lose your car in this stadium?" "I don't know, must be something new." "Whatever, I won this car, some money and a crate." They headed back towards the warehouse, but this time, Tony rode in the car. I think I should compete in more of these, that was fun!
Chapter 3
"Here, I can help you open the supply box. Normally, it will take hours to open it, but we can hire specialist to open it quickly. They want to get payed, but this time it's on me." Two cats dressed in worker outfits walked in carrying tools, Uncle Tony payed them and they opened the box instantly! The box unfolded and inside was some wheels and booster, and a drill! "You should put them on your machine, they upgrade your attack and your health, and if you're
wondering, the stats are written on your dashboard in the your car." Jake installed the new items and wiped sweat from his forehead. "That was tiring!" "Hey, since your here and with your car, I signed you up for the championships!" "Wow, really? This is so exciting!" "Go home and get some rest, you need your energy for the tournament tomorrow. Your car will be safe here at this warehouse." "Bye Uncle Tony, thanks for everything!" Jake walked home, thinking about everything he done today. He noticed the sun was already setting, and he was really hungry. I better get home in time for dinner!
* * *
The sun was rising, and Jake wondered if his uncle would meet him at the warehouse and if he would watch him at the tournament. He said a farewell to his family and ran out the door. When he reached the warehouse, he saw Uncle Tony standing there. "Hey Jake, you ready for the big tournament?" "Yes, I'm gonna win the whole thing!" If only he had actually been that confident he would win, he was really nerv, ous about it, and he was worried he wasn't good enough. "Cheer up, I can tell your nervous
you can do this! No mercy!" Before they walked into the warehouse, a Pep-C van drove by. It was a black tom in the van, he scrolled up the window and tossed out a box. "Here take this, we saw your battle and we love sponsoring new Crashers! Good luck!" And the van drove off. "Congratulations on your first sponsor! Now, your tournament is starting in the afternoon at 3:00 pm. We better get ready!" Jake walked inside the warehouse, carrying his box. It felt really heavy, and he was dying to find out what was in there. "Can we open this box now? I need to know what's inside this box!" "Sure, I'll
I'll help you." The supply box opened smoothly, and easily. Inside was a chainsaw, some more wheels and a toolbox with a heart drawn on it. "That toolbox will make your health go up and that chainsaw will do damage rapidly. Apply them to your car if you want." Jake jumped into his car, and he found himself dozing off.
"Did you fall asleep in there, we need to get going! It's 2:50!" Jake opened his eyes. "Huh, wha-... Oh! We need to get going!" Uncle Tony jumped into his car with him and they drove off to the stadium. "Now turn right and your here!"
The arena was much bigger than the when he was in before. Tony got off the car and stood outside waving at Jake. "Good luck in there! Those people will tell you all the rules, 'cause I don't!" Jake drove the car forward, and met the ticker person. "Hey, do you have your registration form." "Yeah, here it is." "Okay, so your number is 13, line up on the left, and if you have any questions, ask the cats at the information table." and Jake drove in. This reminds me so much about the first time I came to a match, if I ever join some really big tournament, I bet it will be really nostalgic.
Chapter 4
The line up was not as long as he expected, there were only around 10 cats in the line he was supposed to go to. He drove to the information table and asked one of the cats. "It's my first time at these tournaments, how is this supposed to work?" "Well, first of all, to win the tournament, you need to beat the most opponents, to keep track of that, we have these medals. Just line up over there and wait for your turn to go." "Okay, thanks." Jake headed back to
the line and waited there patiently. I hope I win this thing!
Jake peered out onto the huge stadium from behind the line. He saw a giant boulder-like car with a chainsaw crash into a car like his with a laser. Before the laser could charge, the chainsaw carved a hole straight into the engine, and the car blew up. The loser boosted out on his chair, waving his white flag frantically, and they both left the field. After a few more battles, it was finally Jake's turn.
