George Washington serve as presidents in 1789 -

1797. One of issue in George Washington is the 

whiskey revolution he sent 13,000 troop to deal with 

the revolution. Second issue is choose what side the 

U.S. choose in the war between france , and Britain. 

Then he decide to be neutral   not help either   side in 

the war.The three issue is the Nation debt he ask 

Hamilton to come with a plan to solve the debt. So he 

put tax on every thing.He was the first president of the 

U.S. colonies vote in . Second is he train solider that 

never saw a gun in his life time.

John Adams serve as president 1797-1801. During 

those time he face the XYZ Affair were the french ask 

for bribe,and loan the French 10 million dollar. So the 

crew turn back and sail back to American. Second issue 

is when he appoint last minute judges. So John Adams 

got vote out. Three issue is the alien   and sedation act 

where target people who speak out against John Adams. 

Jefferson let prisoner go and destroy the act. He retired 

in a farm in Quincy. His Adminstion on focus   on france.

Thomas Jefferson serve as president in 1801-1809. One 

of the foreign policy is the kidnapped American sailor by 

the British.So Jefferson solve the problem by shut down 

the ports.Second foreign policy is the Louisiana 

purchase that double size of the U.S. So he ask 

congress to approve the 15 million dollar to by the 

louisiana purchase.Three is the Lewis/ Clark expedition . 

He send lewis and Clark to explore the new lands.He 

was in a tie with Burr for president and won by 6 

votes.Jefferson retired to Monticello to ponder such 

projects as his grand designs for the University of 

Virginia.

James Madison serve as president in 1809-1817.One of 

the foreign policy is the non-intercourse act in 

1809.Madison solve this problem by allow some trade 

with other country. England was inference American 

trading.So Madison declare war with England.Three 

foreign is Missouri want to be a slave state.So Madison 

solve the problem by the Missouri Compromise of 

1820.In 1817 Madison step down as from president.In 

retirement at Montpelier, his estate in Orange County, 

Virginia, Madison spoke out against the disruptive 

states' rights influences that by the 1830's threatened to 

shatter the Federal Union.

James Monroe was president in 1817-1825.One of the 

foreign policy is the native American attack white 

settlers.So Monroe send Jackson to capture the native 

American . Second is Foreign settlers coming to the U.S. 

in rapid rate. So Monroe propose the Monroe Doctrine. 

Three is the problem with spain hide Indian that are 

attack American settler.So Monroe purpose the 

 Adams-Onis Treaty.In his fair way speech he say "to 

stay away from foreign country". ." Some 20 years after 

Monroe died in 1831, this became known as the Monroe 

Doctrine.

John Quincy Adams was president in 1825-1829.One of 

Adams foreign policy was how to pay for destroy houses. He 

solve the problem by prose more taxes on foreign goods.The 

second problem is how to protect the trade route.He sign a 

treaty with britain about trading. His position on bank was 

the last problem he had to solve. He support the bank by 

gave taxes cut for the banks.The first President who was the 

son of a President, John Quincy Adams in many respects 

paralleled the career as well as the temperament and 

viewpoints of his illustrious father. In 1848, he collapsed on 

the floor of the House from a stroke and was carried to the 

Speaker's Room, where two days later he died.

Andrew Jackson serve as president in 1829-1837.One of 

Jackson foreign policy is about the bank. He solve the 

problem by veto the taxes cut for the banks. Second problem 

is the taxes on imports good people didn't like it. So he use 

the taxes as a candidate pain issue . Three is the Indian 

problem in the south. So he remove all the Indian off there 

land to a new land.Jackson prospered sufficiently to buy 

slaves and to build a mansion, the Hermitage, near 

Nashville.In 1824 some state political factions rallied around 

Jackson; by 1828 enough had joined "Old Hickory" to win 

numerous state elections and control of the Federal 

administration in Washington

Martin Van Buren serve as president in 1837-1847.One of the foreign 

policy is the panic of 1837.He solve the problem by hired people for a 

job.Second policy is the come close to war with Britain.But he made a 

treaty with Britain and stop the war happen.The last policy is the Indian 

remove act . The law was up for renewal, and he renewal the law so they 

keep remove Indians.The "Little Magician" was elected Vice President on 

the Jacksonian ticket in 1832, and won the Presidency in 1836. He block 

the annexed of Texas because it cause a war with mexico.

William henry Harrisson was presidents in 1841-1841. He was the 

first president to die before he was in office. He was a general 

during the war of 1812. John Tyler was vice president then become 

president because Harrison die. On April 4, 1841, he died -- the 

first President to die in office -- and with him died the Whig 

program. He from Virgina and he a rich man. There is no foreign 

policy because he die before he was in office.

John Tyler was president in 1841- 1845. One of his foreign policy 

was when the U.S , and Great Brittan was disagree about there 

boundary were. He solve is problem by made Britain sign the 

Webster-Ashburton treaty of 1842. Second foreign policy was he 

there was war against native American . He solve this problem by 

gave the Indian some land to settle. There was a problem with 

trade in Asia. He solve this by open talk with China. The "Log-

Cabin" bill enabled a settler to claim 160 acres of land before it was 

offered publicly for sale, and later pay $1.25 an acre for it. He died 

in 1862, a member of the Confederate House of Representatives.

James Polk was president in 1845-1849. One of his foreign 

policy is when the Texas so join the U.S. He solve this 

problem by annexed Texas as a state. Second policy was 

when Mexico attack , and dispute the border of Texas. He 

solve this problem by declare war. Three problem was how 

to end the war with Mexico. He made Mexico sign Treaty of 

New Granada . President Polk added a vast area to the 

United States, but its acquisition precipitated a bitter quarrel 

between the North and the South over expansion of slavery.

Polk, leaving office with his health undermined from hard 

work, died in June 1849.
